We hired them as a local company to pave our existing drive way. The sales lady came out, gave us a quote and scope of work. We agreed on a price and the job was done. From day one we have had issues with standing water. We called, sent e mails and we had to keep calling to get a reply. Finally they said they would have the repair department give us a call. When he finally called he said he was not going to make a special trip just for this. He would be out sometime the following week. That week passed and no call. We started calling again, finally they guaranteed that Someone would be out by Tuesday. Well, Tuesday came and went and still no show. Finally we called again and they sent a crew out and not sure what they did but we still have standing water in the same place they fixed . We called again, sent pictures and left a message at office asking for a call back and a week later no calls. We have given them every chance to make this right, but still unhappy with out investment in Freije paving. The best thing we have done since this was to buy a push broom and squeegee. This is not what we expected from a local company with a 20 years of service.

The workers on the job seamed to know what they were doing. They worked as a team. The job was good but not perfect by my standers. I am very picky.

Regrettably, I must write of my disappointing experience with Freije Paving on a driveway project at my home. The initial contract and discussion seemed straightforward and work began as promised. A number of issues surfaced that seem to indicate that Freije does not work well or regularly with residential customers, especially concrete-novices. My initial design for an off-street parking for trailer and vehicles was acknowledged and estimated. I then suggested a change to improve the ability to actually park the vehicles. This was received and reviewed, with the estimate adjusted up. When the actually framing for the pad occurred, a significant increase in concrete was needed: what was 590 sq. ft. was now 720. I was informed that the concrete was not the same thickness due to uneven ground, that it will be thicker than 4 inches in some areas and require more concrete. A comment made by salesman that one should expect as much as a 20 difference from estimate began my concerns. That was nowhere in the contract or previous conversation. One must expect yard and sidewalk damage from concrete truck delivery, and I had to accept damage to both mine and neighbors yard and side walk. The comment was made we will take care of the side walk and bring some grass seed. But when the driver backed up and called me over saying he was heading up my existing driveway, I stopped him - he said he was told to just pull up the driveway to make the dumping of the concrete easier. I said no and the truck used the same ruts he had had made earlier and added an extension on the cement dump to reach the remaining area - had I not been there.... Upon completion, I found that the angle of the pad would not allow trailer to be parked, and I had to add an additional section of concrete. When all completed, I paid an additional 25 above the estimate PLUS provided soil, equipment, and grass seed to repair my neighbors and my yard, totaling another 500. The issues may seem normal to those who work with cement, but they were not explained: Why couldnt the bucket on the bobcat be used to haul cement instead of tearing up the yards? If your estimates are often off 20 or more, shouldnt that be in the contract? It seemed that you low balled the number to get the job, and then I was stuck after everything was set up. And there were the misrepresentation and simple lack of customer service when it came to answering some questions: While the salesman stated they would take care of the grass and sidewalk, I paid for it twice; No response to numerous emails asking for clarity on cost, when the area would be safe to park on, and request for a refund for double paying of cement to repair sidewalk. And there were many times, I was hit up for another deal: I can clean up this mess on your driveway for 50 We have some landscaping blocks for a good price You should seal this cement Ill give you a deal I not going to make any money but My advic

Concrete looked good, waiting for clean up, made a mess of my yard.
