John G., GGI Construction (G and G Contracting), is a nightmare. He went into a livable house and turned it into an unlivable one. He started the project by attempting to circumvent the cities permit process. Once the city caught him he pulled the wrong permit. Soon after he had the property with 2 violations. He removed all copper pipes and heating system, which was not part of the contract, and in doing so he cut a main electric line to the kitchen that will have to be replaced. We had to put a new HVAC system in the house because of his destruction of the existing one. He destroyed the water main, which afterward leaked for about 6 months, flooding parts of the basement. He removed bathroom fixtures on the 2nd floor without turning the water supply completely off, flooding, and destroying, beautiful hardwood floors on the 1st floor. He installed new windows improperly making them inoperable. He left mountains of trash and debris in the yard. He destroyed newer kitchen cabinets he was supposed to refinish. He had a new roof installed that was deemed worthless and has to be done again. His crew urinated into open drains making the house smell like a sewer. His crew smoked in the house extinguishing cigarettes on, and burning, the hardwood floors. These are just the highlights. He finally abandoned the contract, and project, leaving us with a property that is unsellable and taking $80,000 from us. He has a criminal past for a weapon violation. We found him on HomeAdvisor under the name of GGI General Construction, which had no alert as to his criminal past. DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON. You will regret it. Sadly HomeAdvisor will not allow a rating lower than 1/2 star.
Response by G&G Contracting Co.: Sorry for this Hyenas review as you can see the name of the company is ours but this intruder seems to believe we are a company going by the name of GGI. He seems to think we had done work for him showing no contract nor proving any of these assumptions but saying we destroyed everything. he says we did this and I assure you this is not the case. customers know this is not the case and this will be off the reviews soon as the weekend is over I apologize to all our customers that are truly valuable to us and I say shame on you whoever left this and did not do any research. We're not truly sure who it is you are trying to leave your complaint with but before you do this to someone else you should probably do some research you're probably just a troll that has nothing better to do
