Ryan did an excellent job on restoring our pool. He replaced our tile and resurfaced the pool. Very pleased with the results. He started the project and completed the project in the time he promised. He made sure we were happy with the results and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend Ryan and Genesis Pools for pool work.

I hired him and he is very unprofessional and has poor workmanship. He was not on site for longer than 3 hours. He is full of excuses. He is all talk. We had to have him re-do the tile many time. He does not guarantee his work and has no regard for personal property.

Ryann was a Godsend to help me with my pool. My homeowner's insurance wanted to drop me because I bought an old house with a broken pool. All the estimates for removal of old plaster and adding of new plaster were so costly. I felt so hopeless until I called Genesis Pool Services. Their price was great and they did an excellent job and finished the pool in 4 days! Thank you so much!

Totally unreliable and unprofessional. At the beginning of May I paid over $700 to have my underwater light bulbs in the pool and the spa replaced with color LED ones. Two weeks after the repair I noticed that both lights flicker, and I informed Ryan about this issue. He didn't do anything about it. At the beginning of June I noticed that both light fixtures were flooded. The lights were soon completely dead. I told Ryan again, and he said it was a manufacturing defect of the light bulbs and he will try to get them replaced under warranty. Maybe that was the case, maybe it wasn't, it is too late now to determine that. But what are the chances of two lights becoming flooded at the same time, flickering the same way and die at the same time? Too hard to believe it's just a coincidence. Ryan never went to assess the issue. Any reliable contractor, as soon as a problem is reported, would at least take a look at the lights to see whats' going on, if there's anything that can be done. He did not. Based on my description, he just concluded that the light bulbs are bad due to manufacturing issues, not his fault. Almost two months passed, with no resolution. Eventually, after several requests, and after threats to report him to BBB and take him to the Small Claims Court, he dropped off two new bulbs in my driveway. And that's not all.. I'm trying to keep this review short, but I could write a book about the bad experience I had with this contractor. Just stay away from him.

Prices fair - Excellent attitude (Selling point BTW) - kept promises on a finish date I had requested - Came back for follow ups, touch ups and clean up - Good happy crew. Communicates well thru texting... I did not experience the usual "where are they".....syndrome...

hard workers; efficient use of time on the job

Ryan, the owner of Genesis Pools, is horrible about about doing what he says he will do. I would NEVER recommend him or his company to anyone. We were preparing our house to put it up for sale. Ryan knew this and failed us miserably. The problems I had with Ryan are: (1) He did not replace the water jets, even though he did a full pool resurface. When I pointed this out to Ryan, he said he would come back and install the jets. He never did. I paid my regular pool guy $150 to install the water jets Ryan should have installed.; (2) He left the debris from the old pool plaster in three large containers on my pool deck. This debris filled a 55 gallon trash can! I had to pay my yard man $150 to remove and haul off the mess that Ryan should have removed; (3) Ryan was supposed to add salt to our salt water pool after the plaster cured. He told me it would take 4 weeks for the plaster to cure. Ryan never returned to add salt to my pool water even though I called him multiple times. Because of Ryan's empty promises, my pool water got out of balance and I had algae in the pool. I had to pay my regular pool guy $450 to add salt and get my pool water properly balanced. My experience with Ryan was horrible. I paid him his full asking price. I held back paying him for the salt for my pool. I'm glad I did as I have no confidence that he would have added the salt. Since Ryan and Genesis were listed and recommended by HomeAdvisor, I thought I could trust this company. Big mistake! I doubt my review of Genesis Pools will be posted on the HomeAdvisor website. I hope I am pleasantly surprised

The experience was great once they showed up. I was satisfied with every thing done to our pool.
