Write a ReviewThis contractor is misrepresenting Angi in that he is impersonating his correct name and refuses to make amends for an incomplete job. The contractor was paid in full for services not rendered, and he is not returning texts messages and phone calls and is in fact hiding.

An electrician cut holes in my ceiling & walls that needed repairs. I hired HG Painting through Home Advisor to repair the holes, paint the ceiling, hang a banister, install 6 interior doors, & purchase and hang moldings over 3 interior doors. Nothing they did is right. They never hung my banister, never purchased or hung my moldings, my ceiling repairs & painting is not done properly, and not a single door in my house works properly. The carpenter did not show up on the day he was to begin work. I waited all day & when I called, the owner explained he (the owner) was in the hospital and forgot to tell me. Not sure why that meant the carpenter was a no show, but the next day when he finally came he was 2 hours late He was not in my home for 2 minutes before he started telling me that I needed to pay him more money. i asked him why and he explained he gets $260-275 each to hang interior doors. I told him that he should talk to his boss because I made a contract with the him and his boss pays him not me. 5 minutes later he explained he needs to go to Home Depot to buy chisels. I let him borrow my chisels to save him time then he says he needs to buy a saw blade. Over an hour later he returns from Home Depot and immediately starts complaining I need to pay him more money. I refused and he suggested that I at least buy the saw blade for $30. I refused. I have now wasted a day and a half of my time & this guy is yet to do any work. He hung the first door, looked at the second door and started complaining that I need to pay him more money. Then he says he needs to go to Home Depot to. buy a plane. It is incomprehensible that a carpenter could show up to hang 6 interior doors without chisels. a saw blade or a plane. When he left for Home Depot the second time, he left a pile of saw dust on my kitchen floor. After he returned he was kicking it every time he walked by it and it was spreading all over my kitchen. I cleaned it to stop it from spreading any more. I guess he thought that meant he did not have to clean up because he left piles of sawdust, door hinges, cut pieces of door, and the door wrappers next to every door he hung and in my backyard for me to clean. Before, during, and after every door this guy hung he was complaining that I needed to pay him more money. I kept telling him to call his boss. The entire time he was working, he was on speakerphone talking LOUD , or he had music or talk radio playing LOUD. 3 times I saw him bang a door into my antique furniture. When I asked him to move a door he had leaning on antique furniture he said and it is good That is his favorite refrain. I tell him this door does not work properly and his reply is it is all good. About a week later The the owner comes to review my complaints He was 2 hours late. I was about to leave and he shows up with the carpenter. Every door they looked at the carpenter says and its good When the carpenter said I should have hired someone else, I told him to leave my house. We all calmed down and the owner said give him a few days to figure it out. After a month, I knew he would never call and made it easy for him. Fix the ceiling and we will be good. I knew the carpenter was not competent and did not want him in my house anyway. Just fix my ceiling He said no maybe in the summer he is busy now. I paid him $1,700 of a $1,975 contract and the way I see it, he owes me $700 so I can fix some of his mess. This is 3rd Home Advisor contractor I have hired in the last 4 months 1 roofer, 1 electrician who were great, and then these guys who were awful. Henrry Hernandez is way too incompetent to be a contractor. His carpenter is incompetent, sloppy, and unprofessional. Not sure this is the type of business Home Advisor wants to endorse.
