This was one of the worst contracting experiences I have ever had. I had a piece of flashing replaced on the side of my house and it took 4 trips out to my house before the contractor ever put anything up. And after all of that he installed the flashing backwards. Then the foreman got frustrated with me for wanting to get the contractor back out to my house in order to reinstall the flashing. It was a nightmare. I believe most of the problem was with the particular repairman, whose name I don't remember (long hair with a NJ Devils tattoo on his arm). On a brighter note, that particular piece of flashing did not come off during the tornado.

The job took a bit longer than expected due to some office issues ( I was not charged for this) but overall I was satisfied with the work. The person sent out to do the job was very professional and explained everything that was to be done.

The meeting with Steve was very pleasant and he offered solutions. He also pointed out some additional issues. On the day of the job, Caleb was very professional and worked within a timely manner. I would hire Handyman Matters again.

Did a fine job. No problems.

I will admit that I questioned my decision to hire Handyman Matters to install shutters when the craftsman arrived in the afternoon instead of the morning (due to a scheduling issue). However, the work performed was excellent and within the estimated timeframe (important since their business model is time and materials based). I was impressed with both the professionalism and the open/honest attitude. It was their recommendation that I purchase the shutters myself for further cost reduction (which was already lower than another quote I received that was project based). I will definitely consider them for my next job.

They arrived on time, very courteous, professional, free thinking to overcome some unexpected challenges. Another unexpected (and was not included in the original work scope) item was the water heater burnt up because of a water fitting leaked into the electrical connections and shorted several wires and melted surrounding areas. The extra work had the electrician coming back after a plumber showed up at 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday to install the new heater located under the house with a limited access door. Three hours later, the water heater was installed! They all cleaned up their mess afterward too!!

Excellent service. We would use them again. They not only did some minor vinyl siding repair but also work on replacing 5 attic fans (2 - home / 3 - office).

Nancy did a great job putting in the floor. I've used Handyman Matters before and they always exceed my expectations for quality workmanship.

    4.0 Al M. Raleigh, NC

They were very responsive and professional. The only negative is that they charge on an hourly basis and therefore it was hard to get them to agree on a price before starting the job. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend that you use their service.
