Reviews
Write a ReviewHero (aka Zero) is an UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND MANIPULATIVE company that operates nefariously. They claim to be a faith-based company but have operated quite opposite in our experience. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother, the customer, who took my advice to have her windows replaced. Since agreeing to the $24,000 project in May 2022 with David Rojas, half down payment, and 7 months later.....not one window has been installed. It is been 7 months of no calls, no updates, no explanation zero communication from Hero, and a complete run-around when mom contacted them. All we have to show are a bunch of windows dropped off in our driveway a few days ago, leaning up against her garage door, which is preventing her from using her vehicle. It is like she is being held hostage by windows in her driveway!!!!! WTF!!! I wish I could attach photos of all these windows across her garage and lawn. What a friggin joke. What quality company does this? This is a strong-arm, mob-like tactic to compel her into having the windows installed. Why on Gods green earth would she want anyone from this business to step foot into her house? The level of aggravation dealing with Drake Wuertz, Marvin, Alex, and Lucas Machado, has been next level. The incompetence, negligence, and dishonesty this business has exercised have been stunning. Unless they treat all of their customers this way, their tactics have been rather predatory, discriminatory, dismissive, and most recently intimidating. Hero Construction has long been in breach of the contract and is threatening to withhold 40% of the down payment of if she does not follow through with the installation. Hero Construction has not operated in good faith. Hero Construction has not exercised good customer service. Hero Construction has not operated with integrity. Hero Construction has not operated with any regard for her safety, livelihood, or well-being, by leaning the windows against her garage door. Please take this review under strong consideration if you are seeking to select this business to do your windows. HERO construction, what a joke!!!!
I hired them to replace my roof shingles and gutters. They delivered the huge roll-off dumpster at MIDNIGHT one night WITHOUT any telephone call or email advising such. The cops were called, guns were drawn, people handcuffed and down on their knees in the middle of the street, just a fighting situation. Their response was gee they were sorry they guess they just forgot to call first!! When their truck/trailer pulled in at 11:45 PM, a truck with no lights on their trailer, and backed into my driveway, I thought someone was trying to steal my Mustang car parked there. Their truck drivers were armed. I guess when you do business at midnight unannounced, they feel the need to carry a gun to the customers house. The shingles did go on fine and they did clean up fine. However after repeated calls to the owner and his office staff, they refuse to even return a call, and they still have not put on the replacement gutters. They told the insurance company the job was complete and they then received their final payment. They got their money but still no gutters. It is sad we just can not trust companies to be honest and forthright anymore. Now I am left with the choice to either take the loss and pay for someone else to put the gutters on or spend more money to hire a lawyer and try to get action.
They took six months to finish my roof and did not communicate at all during the process they are a terrible company.
Beware, do not give a deposit.
William Manzi took my deposit of $3230.00 and never reached out to me in over 2 months regarding my project I called 2 weeks ago and asked for proof of insurance. He said he would email all the paperwork nothing was in my mailbox yet. I called the main office today after 3 calls I was transferred to the President. He informed me the job had been canceled because the salesman (William) had given me a price much too low. I signed a contract he signed the contract I gave him half the cost of the job. Now they tell me they can be out here next week if I pay $4000.00 in addition to the $6460. 00 already contracted. Now I have to worry about getting my $3230.00 deposit back.

Hero saved our roof, updated our trusses so we passed wind mitigation inspection, put mold resistant beautiful shingles on FL home, & updated skylight to hurricane strength, in a timely fashion so we could get home insurance. Office staff top notch, crews efficient & friendly. CEO & Mgr. of crews men of their word. Lucille & Felix H.
Had a contract, they breached the contract, they were over 2 weeks past One department has no idea what the other department is doing. Changed installation dates and then wouldn't take my calls. I will NOT recommend this company. When asked if I was going b g to be compensated for their breach, I was ignored. The contract is only for them not for customer. VERY Disappointed and dissatisfied
