Tim (and team) weâ re hired to do plaster repair in my 1923 era home, specifically: -structural reattachment of dining room ceiling by laminating new 1/2 gypsum lath over to existing, binder coat, hard coat finish system -living room ceiling received binder coat and hard coat finish. system. -misc. wall crack repair (some rather extensive) in bedrooms and finished attic, generally along perimeter walls -match finish to existing adjacent surfaces All the work was done extremely competently, the look of the existing plaster, which is a â mild/irregular)â texture was knocked off exactly. The crew demonstrated both genuine craftsmanship and a remarkable work ethic. All very impressive Tim is a man of his word...old school.Price and schedule/duration of the project was determined based on his earlier on-site review at the house. His technical solution to the dining room ceiling in particular was ingenious but very technically appropriate and economical. There were no mysterious scope â changes or omissionsâ that modified the cost from his initial estimate when the contract was forwarded to me for execution. Crew arrived as scheduled on work days - early in fact, and work was completed in two days as promised. The crew was considerate, personable, and did a very credible job of protecting areas of the home not undergoing work. I added some scope to the repairs while underway, all was accommodated, at a minor additional cost. While likely not the cheapest guy out there, remember you get what you pay for and in the end youâ re saving yourself a lot of frustration and $$$ over poorly executed work, disruption and even damage to the home, and extended project time. I am extremely pleased with the process and outcome, and would recommend Tim without reservation. FYI- I am a practicing architect, over 40 years experience, licensed in PA and NY. My project work includes local, national and international work.

Tim and his son were great! In March, they repaired some damaged plaster above a window, patched our hallway ceiling and completed a major repair and skimcoat within our coat closet near the front door. The closet was an especially tricky job in our old house as it was a small space with lots of angles and weird architectural details. Timâ s son, Coey, tackled it with patience and the utmost professionalism. Everything looked beautiful when they were done. Highly recommend!

Had originally hired to fix drywall and plaster of ceiling in living room due to water leak. Before the appointment, I had some other plaster come down on another ceiling in the house. Called Tim Hughes to let him know and he immediately said it would get taken care of. Came early on appointment date, laid out plastic and drop cloths, did repairs in about 2.5 hours to both ceilings and you could never tell they were repaired. Excellent work. Would recommend to anyone and Reasonable price

Tim and his crew showed up early ready to work, they put down card board to protect my tile floor. All the work was down in a professional manor, Tim went above and beyond to touch up a section that I had repaired earlier. Prior to finishing Tim requested me to inspect the work he and his men performed which was exactly what I had requested. The work area was cleaned up and Tim's men went as far as to clean my storm door with Windex. I strongly recommend Tim and his crew if you want a professional job at a fair price.
