We hired Jeff Nance, Intermountain Builders, to build a 2 story addition to our split level home. Project also included converting the unused basement family room space to a new master bathroom/closet. That portion required trenching for new sewer lines. Our lot is also really narrow, Jeff worked with our city to get the necessary permissions to work around some old cedars that happen to be right in the path for any entry into our backyard. Jeff was great to work with. His years of experience in all facets of the industry are a benefit to any project and homeowner. Jeff made some design change suggestions along the way that helped the final product look like it has always been there. We initially planned on 3-4 months of work for our project and we finished right on time. All of his suppliers and subs were great to work with. All in all, Jeff was great to work with, we would hire him again for a future project. I'll also say - as I am a stay at home mom, I always felt totally fine with him and his subs in the house.

We hired Jeff (Intermountain Builders) to build an addition for a master bed and bath as well as a kitchen, laundry, and dining room remodel. Jeff is a professional and a pleasure to work with. He handled the plans, permits, subcontractors, in short, the entire scope of the project. He offers good advice on aesthetics and design ideas and it is clear that Jeffs experience has helped him develop a keen sense for what works and what does not. The project came in on budget and on time. We appreciate that Jeff is honest, accessible and tells it to you straight when issues arise. Perhaps most importantly Jeff does things the right way, we never felt as if corners were being cut or decisions were made for any reason other than what was best for the job. It may be a stretch to say a remodeling project was a pleasure but we truly enjoyed working with Jeff and would not hesitate to hire Intermountain Builders again.

I hired Intermountain Builders (Jeff Nance) to build an Addition and to do the whole house remodel. Addition was 440 sq ft. I extended the back wall of the house by 8 ft. As part of the addition, Jeff added a powder room, master bath room with tub & shower, double vanity, and a new kitchen. He also remodeled the living room, family room, study, 2nd bathroom and installed hardwood floors for the entire house. Jeff has very good knowledge about the design and the construction process of a house. He guided our architect to make the right design choice and stay on budget. Jeff was present on the site every day of work. His work quality is very high and he expected the same quality from the sub contractors he hired. If something wasn't right, Jeff made sure it was fixed to our satisfaction. Due to his good management skills, all the sub contractors finished their work on time. We never had to delay our project because of the sub contractor's unavailability. This is really amazing as it is common in the Seattle area that most of the time projects are delayed because of the sub contractor's unavailability problem. One thing, i noticed that whenever he was working on the house, he was not building/remodeling for his customer. He was doing the project as if it is his own house. He go above and beyond of his responsibilities (not part of the project) to make sure that all area of the house looks good and properly functional. There were lots of challenges and unexpected hurdles with the remodel project. Jeff was really amazing on solving those problem without increasing the project time and cost. Another thing I admire about Jeff is that he is always straight forward & honest. He communicated with my regularly. When ever I had a question, I texted him and he gave me an answer quickly. We would certainly go with Jeff next year for my patio project.

Jeff did an amazing job doing a complete tear down and rebuild of our 1960's house. He managed and subcontracted all the details including building, plumbing, electrical and everything else. We did a highly custom house - he was very accommodating with our change requests. He would help us with design decisions/ideas through discussions, suggestions, and providing input based on his knowledge and expertise in the area. Jeff made high ceilings possible in our house by coming up with an innovative idea to raise the ceilings from inside without touching the roof line. He is ready to think of out of the box solutions to problems and design issues. We were impressed with his work ethics, construction acumen, "make things happen" attitude and his desire to ensure that the finished product is high quality and up to the mark.

Project: Build an Addition
I think that Jeff is a super qualified builder. I am thrilled with him and am very, very happy with his work. He made the whole process very easy. It was quick, on budget, and on time. It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

Project: Build an Addition
I feel like Jeff is a great guide in the perils of remodeling a house. He has the ability to take your drawings, ideas and budget and give you a reality check. At the same time, he also gives wonderful advice on aesthetics and design. He had great suggestions for our entryway and front door in our project.

Jeff took over a long-dormant project which entailed building 4 large balconies for the fourplex I own. The original contractor had to be fired after he made zero progress and wasn't forthcoming about the state of the project. Jeff's firm re-engineered the plans because the original architect over-designed them, and got the permit. The balconies were built quickly, the crew was professional, and Jeff gave updates often.

I hired Jeff and Intermountain Builders to complete a 330 sq ft mother-in-law suite addition to our home last Fall. There was quite a lot of work needed - new foundation, roof, plumbing for bath/kitchenette, etc, etc, etc. Jeff and his team did a fantastic job of getting everything done, both in a timely manner and within the initial budget that we discussed. He is a no-nonsense type of contractor that I prefer - Jeff is not going to hold your hand and sweet talk you through the process, rather he is going to give it to you straight and honest, and you can trust that he will do what he says. The construction had a couple of hiccups along the way which we usually expect, but nothing that would result in reducing our rating of Jeff and Intermountain. He was easy to work with and we are all very happy with the final product that we had when construction was complete. We would certainly go with Jeff on any future projects like this, and we have recommended him to friends and family who have seen his work.

Jeff and his crew were great to work with. He was always available to discuss the project and any issues that came up. His price was very fair and the work was great. He converted a very large carport to a one car garage and a large extra room for the house. The experience was so positive, I hired him to do a complete gut and remodel of my kitchen. I highly recommend him.
