Reviews
Write a ReviewThey were responsive and on time.
Completely no-showed and didn?t call for our scheduled appointment. When we first talked, we confirmed a time, discussed the project, I shared all of my contact details and address. And then I waited for them to show up at my house and was completely ghosted. Terrible service. Didn?t call to reschedule or anything.
They made sure that I was happy with their work before they left
Did the job that was needed.
The workmanship quality in the walkways is very good but the floor in the garage was not sealed properly. He did come back out and resolved the problem. It is now great.
Jose was very professional and explained the entire process (along with sending me videos of how they would handle the repair). I had my front porch steps redone with mortar and some cracked bricks replaced and supported with rebar on other areas of the house. Jose looked for my exact brick which is difficult to locate. In the end we ended up removing some brick from the back and using that for the repair and installing the new brick in the back where it is not visible. J1 Power Services completed the job and cleaned everything up. I will be using them again for other services. Excellent customer service and work.
Excellant Company!
Just did an excellent job
Jose and the rest of J1 Power Services are great. Their pricing is very fair and they completed the job on time. We has some stonework that was loose and Jose's team did an excellent job with the repair. You can't even tell a repair was made....looks original.
All-in-all, a good experience and I would work with them again; but I would manage expectations a bit better. The estimator came out and reviewed the extensive rust issue I discovered when I started removing the unsightly chalk someone working for a prior well-meaning homeowner thought was appropriate to put along the front edge of the steel that holds up the brick over the garage door. Jose helped me determine the severity of the issue (not as bad as I feared) and talked me through his recommendation for addressing. The team that came out was courteous, appropriately masked and socially distant and confirmed what they were going to do. When I looked in on them a couple times, they graciously informed on what they were doing at that point in the job. A big plus for me was that they let the job-site clean at the end of the job! Half point off for 2 things; 1) Customer contact in coordinating the team's arrival; give me a commitment/notification of a day (or two) for the work being started a few days out and then give me an estimated arrival window (couple hour range) on the day before the team will be onsite. I had to reach out to get both. I did get a notice when the team was actually on their way (about 30 minutes before), but I have meetings and things going on, so I need to arrange to be available to greet your to get started. 2) The guys chose to "custom mix" the mortar color rather than use mortar that was pre-colored off a chip (whichever way is fine with me as long as the results are what's expected - a reasonable match); the color turned out a bit lighter than the original but fortunately because it was mostly along the bottom edge above the garage, it's not the big deal it would have been had they been working in the middle of a wall. Thanks for the good work!
