Good day to my beautiful people! My team and I were hired to convert a make-shift carport that got converted to a makeshift garage my job was to turn it into a complete sunroom; as well as do a complete make-over of the entire exterior of the home. there are several complications it took place doing this transformation here's a link to all the photos that were taken during the process. - https://linksharing.samsungcloud.com/gtP6Ryve4tt5
JC Soldiers Ministries did a good job. They explained what they were doing and ensured that I understood the requested fix.
Very personable and accommodating.
Nice and friendly, did a good job!
I thought what they did was a little expensive;$400 for painting door, columns in front, railings on back steps and railings. They did a good job. Only problem was door painted was shut too early and lifted some paint from the door.
I supplied 100 ft solid corrugated flexible drainage 3 inch pipe and topsoil. I had started the drainage trench. It was too hot for an 86 year old to do. They continued to dig the trench with shovels not spades. I kept telling them to dig deeper. I requested more top soil but it never showed up. A week later we had a heavy rain which washed out in several places the top soil and exposed the pipe. I had to take out the entire 100 ft of pipe. I dug out the trench with a spade to 8 in. I put in the pipe and took a hose to the collecting basin which I had to re position to the corner of driveway and the walkway to the deck It drained properly. I purchased 12 more bags of topsoil and filled in the trench and tamped down the topsoil. Reseeded in the fall. Now grass is growing and mowed. They installed gutters on my Dutch barn or shed. Recently, I noticed that the gutters were clogged with leaves because the gutter guards which I supplied were not properly installed because they didnt put in enough brackets which provides the clips for the gutter guards I cleaned out the gutters and found that the front down spot opening was almost occluded by vinyl from adding an extension. I had to take a mini hack saw and Dremel and cut away the occluding vinyl. One of the installers asked me for deck screws. I was shocked that he used them rather than gutter screws. There were 2 1 1/2 inch screws that were sticking across the opening of the rear down spot. I had to to take a mini hacksaw to cut off and shorten them. I then checked for drainage but the the rear gutter was backing up. I had to take out 3 brackets to elevate the gutter so it emptied properly. I installed new gutter guards which are clipped in or screwed on so leaves will never get in. They replaced a shed door. The locking latch door was not working properly. They tried to free it up with W-40. I took off the door lock to paint the door. To my horror there was a deck screw inside the door lock. I had to saw it off. I t works better now. I also noticed that there were early water stains on the bottom of the inside doors. They indicate a water leak. The overlapping method of closing the doors which is supposed to create a seal isnt working. The hinges are not lined up(probably because of not measuring) creating a small crack in the upper part of the doors. Blocked gutters probably contributed to the leaks too. The doors are single layer and not stable enough. Therefore, rather than trying to repair the doors, it would be better to install new double layer doors that seal and have an exterior trim. I will have to hire a well qualified carpenter to do the work . I request a $1000 refund to cover the cost. I havent thoroughly checked out the crawl space where I had them replace the fallen insulation with new supplied insulation and batons. I asked Jonathan how he was vented or credentialed by Home Advisor. He said it was easy and they only asked about predator questions. It is my opinion that his company lack the necessary training and licensing. There should be some oversight of Home Advisor in tightening up their credentialing process and guaranteeing their work like some of their competitors. Society needs to be protected from incompetent workmanship. I forgive JCSM. You wouldnt want a LPN go into the operating room and do an appendectomy on you. Gordon J
Mr. Gordon, I do appreciate you can get on here and stating your opinion about my my church my team and myself. I pacifically asked you do me a small favor which was if you were dissatisfied with the workmanship as you call it you would not have paid me the remaining balance you said oh no oh no the work looks great here is what I owe you let's get to the truth and details of this transaction I advise you that everything that you are upset about was going to fail you was very adamant about not replacing things that I told you needed to be replaced you also very adamant that you did not want to purchase the materials that were needed to stop.
