Project: Fall / Spring Yard Clean Up
We hired this company to keep up the landscaping/lawn care of a property on N Michigan. At the start, everything was good, they were communicative and worked to meet our needs. However, over time we ran into issues. There would be weeks when the crews would show up on days not agreed upon, which is an issue as we lock up dogs at the property when we're expecting them to work on the back yard. There would also be weeks when they wouldn't show up at all until we called and complained. When we complained about these issues, it seemed like the work crews and management were not communicating with each other as we heard from management that they had relayed this information to their work crews. We also saw a degradation in the quality of work on the lawn. Moss started to get out of control, the lawn had rough spots where the grass just died off and was a muddy patch, other vegetation went overgrown unless we complained, etc. The final and most frustrating issue happened in the past couple of months. There was an issue with auto-pay due to a re-issued debit card. The company did contact us about it and we requested an invoice to attach a new credit card number to. We also requested a cancellation of service due to issues mentioned above. This request was made in late January. The invoice got lost in transit and never made it to us. Several attempts later and before the invoice was corrected and a new card was issued, the company has somehow billed the card for not only the outstanding balance, but the month of February after the request was made to cancel service. To top all of this off, several attempts have been made by the homeowner proper to deal with this situation. Since, we've heard ;we'll look into that and get back to you & let me talk to the owner and get back to you and let me verify my information and get back to start, and now we're just not getting any responses from any of the employees at all. We've tried to work with them professionally and feel we've reached a point where the only way to get their attention regarding this situation is to get Homeadvisor and the public involved. So as it stands, we cannot recommend this pro at all. We feel the lack of professionalism that we've experienced is one that needs to be addressed. We've asked several times for proof of work in February and once the proof was presented, we would have dropped the issue. However, communication issues all around, mis-billing, passive aggressive brush offs, and complete radio silence is not okay.
