I acquired bids to add to my existing backyard concrete slab with a paver patio and spot for a firepit. Mark came out and gave a very fair and affordable price. He brought paver samples and worked with our vision. His guys came and really did a GREAT job! They worked hard and had my patio completed in one weekend! There were a few tiny adjustments and Mark came right back out to take care of the final touches! I would definitely recommend Mark and his team and am very very happy with the completed project!!

Did a good job with the driveway job but poor on clean-up and completion. Left forms in place, ignored stakes that were hard to remove. Stopped responding as soon as he was paid.

Mark and crew did an excellent job building a stone retaining wall, backfilling, and pouring a large slab to extend my driveway. The concrete work is excellent and it matches perfectly with the rest of the driveway. Very good price, on-time, and excellent work. So excellent that we have had him do further work with landscaping, fencing, etc. Call him and you will not be disappointed!

Mar k gave me a fair estimate to repair my old, cracked back porch. His estimate was very fair - even after he had to amend it because we found that there was nothing under the old concrete - and he would have to add fill in for the area under the porch. It was a small project and it was completed in about half a day. I was very pleased with the finished result. I can now go out my back door instead of walking around the house and I am thrilled. Many thanks to Mark and his helper for the great work.

I needed a treated lumber retaining wall repaired. I called Mr. Shields for an estimate. He scheduled an appointment, gave a reasonable estimate and I let the contract. Mr. Shields and his team arrived as scheduled and completed the project promptly. The wall looks great! I highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again.

Our project was a 60ft X 4ft concave retaining wall. Mark and his crew were professional, courteous, prompt and knowledgable. The estimate was spot on and the work completed in a timely manner. My boyfriend is a construction expert and has an eye for perfection. He's equally pleased with the finished product. We just described to Mark how we wanted it built. If we had supplied a plan on paper with measurements I think that would have been very helpful. Thank you Mark for being patient with us. We would definitely use MBJ Enterprises again.

Hired MBJ Enterprises after interviewing contractors for several years to install a storm drain pipe. Mark came out measured and gave an estimate of what it would cost to complete the job. The estimate was thousands less that what other contractors had quoted over the years. He was hired and he delivered quality. I would definitely recommend this company and use him for projects in the future.

I had an issue with the concrete driveway, sidewalk and stone stairs to the front of my house settling and leaving a gap between the stairs and the landing to the front of my house. I discussed this with Mark Shields of MBJ and he said they have done this type of work before and that he could drill into the foundation and install re-bar to support the concrete that they would be installing. We agreed on a contract to do the work and they cam out and removed all the old concrete sections of the driveway, sidewalk and the stone stairs. When the re-poured the walkway under the stairs, they did not drill into the foundation to install re-bar. About a month after they installed the stone stairs, I noticed a crack between the top of the stairs they installed and the landing to the front of my house. I called Mark and he had his concrete guy look at it. They agreed that they needed to remove the stairs and add some support to keep it from settling around the stairs. They removed the stone stairs, so there is about a two foot step from the sidewalk to the landing on the front door of my house. It has been over 3 weeks and I have called Mark multiple times. He won't answer my calls and he won't return any of the messages I have left him. Very poor customer service.

MBJ came out quickly and reviewed the idea we had for grading and creating a side yard. Mark walked the area took notes and measurements. Then he detailed his vision of the finished product. We recieved a detailed estimate quickly. Work started when exactly when Mark said the crew would arrived. After the rough grade was completed, we were so happy with the results, we decided to throw Mark a curve and added a stone patio and retaining wall. Mark came out on a Sunday and we walked him through our idea. Without missing a beat, Mark gave us some ideas, patio was completed on time and at estimate

Contacted Mark on Labor Day and he came out that day and gave me an estimate on re-excavating my back yard. He brought in a couple loads of dirt and leveled it off. Additionally, he suggested adding additional draining to carry water away from my house. He re-seeded my yard and did a great job of cleaning up. Finally, he made some recommendations for future projects that I could have done in my backyard. I will definitely call Mark again for any future landscape projects.

I feel that they were the worst.
