I would highly recommend Ed he was very professional and his work was impeccable. His price was very reasonable and came when he said he would and finished when promised. Hire this man he was great!!!

We had our fireplace installed in 2012. The first time we used the unit we heard a loud bang as the unit cooled after turning it off. We called Ed and he told us that this was normal. Friends and family visiting who were also gas fireplace owners said that this was not normal. So when Ed came to service the unit in the second year we questioned it again. Once again we were told that this was normal for this unit. The bang is very loud and causes the surround walls to disengage and the logs to topple. When one of the logs broke in the second year, we called and emailed Ed to help us get a replacement. We never heard back from him. We worked with another fireplace company who helped us replace the log and contacted Heat & Glo, the manufacturer of our unit, on our behalf. We spoke to a specialist at Heat&Glo and were told that the bang is symptomatic of incorrect installation; there is no other reason for this to happen. And to reinstall it we would have to dismantle the cabinetry built around it at considerable expense. Needless to say, my calls and emails to Ed have gone unanswered, and for this reason I have given him the lowest rating. I will not recommend his service to anyone.
Response by Muraca Enterprises, Inc.: We were hired to service this customers fireplace and the customer was complaining of a loud banging noise , now whenever a gas fireplace heats up or cools down the metal will sometimes expand and then contract causing a bang noise. If the noise is extreme then there could be a manufacturers defect . Any warranty work needing to be done has to go through the company the unit was purchased from and installed by.Though I feel bad for this customer the correct course of action would have been to contact the original retailer who took there money and didn't fix the problem
