I have a rowhouse in Washington D.C. It's been cold since the day we moved in 13 years ago. We've had multiple contractors come out and try to fix the problem with varying degrees of insulation, but nothing seemed to work. I contact Max just before Christmas, and we was out at my house within about 10 days. He spent about an hour going through the house, asking numerous questions, and at the end of it all, he came up with a solution. He thoroughly explained the problem we were having and how his solution would fix it. He provided a written estimate within a day, and we scheduled the work for the following week. He and his team came out right on schedule. His team was courteous, highly professional, and provided me an ongoing explanation of what they were doing, and how it would fix the problems. When they left, they thorough cleaned up and did a final walk through to assure that everything was taken care of. My house is now warm. No more blankets needed for watching TV. No more worrying about the pipes in the kitchen. After 13 years, Max fixed our problem in less than 8 hours. He and his team: Knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and very customer oriented. A great experience with Max insulation. Clearly a 5 Star rating.

I found Max Insulation from a friend who was incredibly happy with their work (not sure if he left a review online). I had moved into a condo just before winter and spent it miserably huddled in quilts on the couch. The heat would be set to 70 and yet 51 degrees in the living room, according to my portable thermometer. I couldn't go through another winter like that so I started looking for help. Max came over, climbed into all 3 attic spaces (they're separated) and surveyed what might be causing such heat loss. He identified immediately several causes (recessed lighting, inadequate coverage, and inadequate R rating insulation) and sent a crew over to take care of it. The crew was fantastic! They were polite, professional, knowledgeable and funny, offered to show me the work they had done and cleaned up after themselves in detail I have never before seen (indeed my house was in nicer shape after they left than it was before they got there!). Highly recommend this company.
Response by Max Insulation: Thank you for the 5 star review. We are pleased that you are happy with our service. I hope you notice the difference in the winters.

So glad I found Max before this cold snap! I had been searching for insulation for a few months. We live in an old 1900 Victorian that had no insulation in the attic or walls. I can deal with the cold, but with a baby it just wasn't realistic anymore. Max came in and checked the attic and told me what he recommends. After he sent his quote and I accepted, he was able to come over in a week and a half to get the job done. His guys were professional and friendly, and everyone dealt with our slightly (very) crazy dog with good humor. They set up blankets to keep everything clean and tarps up in the attic to make sure no insulation fell into the bedroom. We had the crew do blown-in fiberglass insulation (they even put in more than they said, which means better insulating); they put covers over the can lamps in the bathroom; and I had them build up a platform by the attic stairs so I could use it for storage. That wood was covered with rolled fiberglass (blown-in would be a mess if you're using the area actively). We were able to feel the difference immediately. After they finished, they cleaned up everything and even swept some of the lingering insulation that was blowing around in front of our house. I found Max's price very reasonable compared to some of the other quotes I had. Another important difference--the big box Home Depot was cheaper, but they never once said that the lamps should be covered before putting insulation on them (a fire hazard). These are the important details that Max pointed out. He also noticed some cracks in the brick through which air was coming in and they sealed it tight with foam. So go with Max, or at least give him a call and see what he can do for you. Great service from a great local company. I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for insulation.
Response by Max Insulation: Thank you for the wonderful 5 star review. The dog was a character, the team enjoyed him. We are happy we served your insulation needs well.

I had an exceptionally positive experience working with Max. When I contacted him in December, I had also contacted several other companies for insulation installation. While none of the other three companies were not returning my calls, Max showed up the following day after my first call and gave me a very competitive quote. On the day of the job, there was a major snow storm. Nevertheless, he still made the trek despite it taking an hour or two longer than normal. During the insulation, he was courteous, highly competent, and very pleasant. I give him my highest recommendation and encourage you to contact him. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Response by Max Insulation: It was a pleasure working with you Elijah. The snow storm only made it more fun. Our team appreciates the 5 star rating. Thank you.

Max came in and gave a free appraisal that seemed very reasonable based on other appraisals I had received for the same job. Max was very professional and easy to coordinate with for the project. He showed up on time and him and his crew did a great job and were very thorough. Definitely recommend Max and would use again in the future!
Response by Max Insulation: Thank you for the 5 star review Jonathan. It was a pleasure serving your insulation needs. Look forward to hearing from you in the future if needed.

We have an old, 100 year old, DC row home. The attic had wall insulation and lots of gaps allowing a lot of air leakage. We also had cold (40 degree in the winter) interior floors near the outside walls. I am familiar with how homes work and knew we needed some insulating, and more air sealing. For readers, air sealing is critical to make a home more comfortable. Anyway, we got a couple of quotes and Max was one of them. He came in friendly and not pushy. He climbed in the attic and we discussed options to insulate the floor areas involving cutting into the drywall ceiling. Max's quote was the best, by a lot, and I stressed that I wanted cellulose (not fiberglass) because of its air sealing qualities and Max said sure. A week after the quote, he and his crew arrived. They set up in the yard and after exploring the 1st in floor area found that the job was bigger than we initially thought. Max just rolled with it and got the job done. That was great. I watched the entire day and assisted as I could and Max was very friendly and professional, showing me his work and telling me his plans. At one point they needed more insulation so, without issue, Max went and got more insulation. At the end of the day they cleaned up, including vacuuming my lawn to get any stray cellulose. Everything looked great and I am confident the job was done correct. I would recommend anyone to contact Max for a quote and to feel confident in his work. Great job and look forward to those cold DC nights to see how comfortable our house is! Thanks Max.
Response by Max Insulation: Thank you Jay for the great 5 star review. We enjoy working with old DC row homes to help them become more energy efficient and comfortable. It was a pleasure working with you.

Working with Max to sound proof our basement has been a great experience. He was quick to respond to emails/calls, gave frequent status updates, came in over the weekend to finish the job to meet my deadline, and was right on budget. He was also very helpful in addressing some other insulation needs I had in my home. The quality of the work was excellent. I highly recommend using him for your insulation and sound proofing needs.
Response by Max Insulation: I am glad that you are happy with the quality and efficiency of the soundproof work we provided. We appreciate the 5 star rating.
