Project: Move a Piano
Hired this company in an emergency to move my piano from the basement to the first floor of my formal living room. They are 'supposed to be profess movers'. Well $315 later for a few hundred feet within my home, they dented my piano very badly. They claim the keys that are stiff and misplaced are 'not a problem' Literally left it in middle of the formal room. No mention made of damage on bill of laden. I will be contacting them this morning to let them know how disgusted I am at this shoddy service!! I guess some service companies choose to take advantage of people at their most vulnerable times! This looks like one of them. If they do admit they damaged my property I will update this review accordingly
Response by Middle Class Movers, Inc.: Our customer was not present for her move. The gentleman who greeted us gave instructions where to place the piano. Perhaps he was pre occupied with conversation regarding the damaged keys. The keylid was not attached to the piano and fell off during the move hitting management on the head before hitting the piano keys then falling to the floor. We've spoken with our customer. We've discussed the keylid, and agreed to move the piano to the specified location once she is present. She is welcome to file a claim for the small scratches. We look forward to resolving the misunderstanding.

These three men worked very hard, was professional, fast, polite, considerate of my requests and time. They took very good care of all my belongings/ valuables with care, I had nothing missing, damaged, or broke. They were not trying to work slow for more money, they even put items in my storage area of apartment building, and had to travel a long way from elevator to my apartment, with new neighbors still using freight elevator too on the sixth floor. My girlfriend that was with me, even stated, they are some good hard workers and a good company to use.I agree and thank you again Middle Class Movers!😁

Said it would take 4-6 hours. Took 15! Did not have enough movers and I told them it would be a large move
Response by Middle Class Movers, Inc.: We share Lance J.'s dissatisfaction. Our mission is, perpetual First Class Service. Apparently our efforts did not measure up and we apologize for the inconvenience that we caused. In our initial email to all potential customers, we offer a free onsite estimate. However, due to Lance J.'s experience we now recommend an onsite estimate. A quick visual of your valuables will facilitate an accurate estimate. Guesstimates provided via phone can be helpful but does not account for 1. Accurate number of rooms, 2. Padding and Wrapping, 3. Disassembling and Reassembling, 4. Angles and the size of doors, etc. We would never knowingly send 3 men to move 7-8 rooms of furniture.

I was very pleased with this company's customer service. The showed up as promised, called me as they were leaving the pick up location, arrived on time, and I appreciated the careful manner with which they treated my piano and home. Also, the final price was exactly what they quoted.
