I chose to work in this industry because As the Owners, we love the excitement that goes into seeing the FINAL RESULT, after a home Emergency or Remodel. We have a combined Military, Construction, and Nursing Background. In our spare time, travel and family time, is everything! We're also outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking, fishing, hunting, we love it all! Health and Fitness is a daily part of our lives, so we are able to give 100%. We created this company with the idea of family first, then business! We are up for any challenge, BIG or SMALL. We strive for constant perfection, and attention to detail, while giving the best Customer Service possible. We both have a combination of 15+ years, in this line of work. We are blessed and thankful, to have the employees we have in place. But, most importantly, passionate about helping people regain their homes, businesses, and lives, after a disaster. I had dry rot issues discovered when replacing out deck. Patrick was quick to respond and, knowing that the problem was delaying my deck construction, managed to fit the job into his busy schedule within 2 weeks. He and his carpenter, Drew, did a fantastic job. They made recommendations including replacing a front window during the job - saving me hundreds had I done the replacement after the dry rot job. I was also thinking I needed the patio platform above my garage replaced. Patrick told me he "didn't want to do work that wasn't really needed" and recommended a resurface of the area at a fraction of what it would have cost had I replaced it. The job came in as quoted. It looks fantastic and as I watched the work as it progressed so I know the job was done right. They actually jacked up the house to replace foundation beams! Amazing. I would recommend this company to anyone - including my closest friends and family. Great job, Patrick, Drew, and the whole Moving Forward team.

We had a handy man sized job to replace two exterior boards that had dry rot. Andrew did the work quickly and expertly, including painting to match. Beware that Moving Forward required a 50% deposit for this job.

The bidding process was smooth and instilled confidence. Regrettably, my faith in Moving Forward waned over time: - The initial work was postponed without notice. No one called and no one arrived on the appointed day and I had to call the office myself after a couple of days to find out why no one had shown up. - Construction debris was spilled on my car, parked 12 feet away from the entrance to the work area. Patterns of dust showed that workers had simply swept the debris off of my car without regard for the paint. No one contacted me about this. - An extension cord of mine that I saw in use by the workers in the garage went missing. The cord was green. No contractor uses green extension cords. - The job had not been completed when I was asked for final payment. My contract stated that damaged ducts would be removed and replaced. I got no answer when I asked how much duct had been replaced, which was concerning. When I insisted, a worker was sent back with duct tape and patched one obvious leak. - I was never asked whether I was satisfied or pleased with the work that was performed. As a result of these facts I do not have confidence that the job was completed: for example I have no way to know whether the soil under my vapor barrier was thoroughly or correctly treated as per the contract, or whether corners were cut in the process. I have no confidence that my crawlspace ducts are free of leaks. And I have no confidence in this company to truthfully confirm one way or the other whether the job was done right. What I am confident about is that the most important thing to Moving Forward is not customer satisfaction, but short-term revenue. I was called and texted repeatedly over Labor Day weekend, starting the day of the final visit by a worker. After I texted back on the first business day after the holiday to confirm that I had mailed a check, I got yet another terse e-mail: "We need to get final payment immediately, on your account. Please call the office, to make final payment." I would not hire this company again.

We hired this company through HomeAdvisor's website in 2017. We had to file a complaint with CCB.
Response by Moving Forward Restoration, LLC: Ms. Chen, I'm sorry you feel the need to leave a Negative comment, almost a Year Later. Let's please, tell the whole truth though. Yes, you filed a complaint with the CCB. And the CCB, met with the Operations Director and you, at your residence. They found NO wrongdoing or validity to your complaint on MF's behalf, and DISMISSED your complaint. You only filed a complaint after having "Buyers Remorse" and realized you were not gonna be able to pay your remaining balance. I am saddened to hear that you felt the need to leave an unnecessary comment, under our Reviews. Especially, since this case has been closed with the CCB for Months.

I hired this company on 5/11/19, paid half down and my small job was completed 7/13/18. I had dry rot at the top of two windows and at the bottom of one door frame. The exterior window frames were removed allowed to dry out and then new exterior frames were installed. The door frame was removed and a new one installed. The window were supposed to be removed and moisture sealed. Neither window was ever removed. New trim was supposed to be installed on the inside of both windows. This was not done. On the back door, one of the hinges is screwed into the door but not the molding. It also looks like rain is going to come under the door and into the garage the next time it rains hard. I feel like someone should have come by and checked the workmanship when the job was done.

You are correct about the windows not being removed, but you were specifically told by the Senior Carpenter, and the Operations Director, why that was no longer needed. We may put things on an ESTIMATE, that once a Carpenter or technician open up a wall, or starts a project, if it's no longer needed we will not proceed with anything unnecessary. On your final invoice, we took the charge off for the window removal that was on your original estimate, as well as giving you a substantial discount on the overall project. **Which you STILL OWE a substantial balance, even with the discounts. This review is blindsiding, considering when last the office spoke to you, we made every effort to work with you on remaining balance, and your craftsmanship concerns. You have responded to neither. Nor allowed the Operations Director, to come back out. This matter is now going to collections.

Paul was professional and did high quality work. The areas that were replaced look great and match perfectly with the rest of the wals. The overall project turned out really good. My only concern is that it took much longer than was discussed.

I had some dry rot, missing insulation and needed new vapor barrier put down in my crawlspace. They did a great job and were very professional.

Be prepared to wait at home, as they are not very good about estimating when they will be there, anywhere from 2 and half to 5 hours later than estimated. Also verbally promised to have everything done "100%" by a certain date, and went a week and a half over that. Work was done well, when it was finally done, but my time is worth something too, and missing work while waiting is not acceptable.
