First of all, the technician they sent did not install the shower spout correctly which caused the water behind the wall. The unit was rented out and there was no one in the unit for 2 weeks. The first time my tenant used the shower, there was water behind the wall caused leakage and my downstairs unit was water damaged. Had to call a plumber to fix. 2nd day when I called Mr. Handyman, they would like to send the same technician back and check what he did wrong, I rejected due to the issue had been fixed and I didn't trust a guy who didn't do how to do the work right to touch my shower faucet again. According to Mr. Handyman's own policy, they are not willing to compensate my loss and were very rude in suspecting I was lying to get their money. I was rejected to talk to the owner and resolve anything, since I rejected the only option they offered as sending the SAME technician back to check what he did wrong, after plumber had fixed the water leakage. After I complained online, the owner called me, not to resolve issue but re-stated that this is his policy and he could do whatever he wanted (repeating what exactly he said over the phone here), and he got pissed off while I was super calm for the whole time. I didn't want to hang up the phone only because I knew he would say he was trying to resolve but customer was not cooperating. So I patiently listened and tried to respond to many insane wording including "You are the problem", "what if it was your brother-in-law broke it after we did our work", "you are lying", "you don't understand the words you put online, they are technical"etc., and when he started "your mother didn't teach you xxxx", I stopped him and told him that he started personal attach and I would record him if he continued, he hung up on me....unfortunately I am writing review here on another public website since I would like to share my personal experience and provide helpful information to other people who read all the good reviews and wanted to jump into the project. This is more than just wasting your money - you waste your money, need to pay more for repair the damage, and have to listen to the nonsense from the company's owner.

Time pressure from the mechanic was bit too much. Additional charge for Ten minutes extra on the job. Not a standard method based on the actual job and a fixed fee to accomplish the same. Other contractors I have used through service magic do not work in this method of time based charges.

We try to give you expert guidance on the time needed to complete most tasks, but with small jobs, we don't have the opportunity to actually see the project in advance of dispatching the technician. The most important thing is the technicians opinion of the proper repair and his time needed after seeing the actual situation. Our Motto: On Time and Done Right is important to us. Our ultimate goal is 100% customer satisfaction and it is unfortunate that we fell short of that goal for this customer and we appreciate the opportunity to improve.

Work is not complete because of the drying process. So far the work is good. However, it is difficult to assess how much one can do at one time when there is no estimate. This probably only pertains to people on a budget, limited or otherwise. Am new to this so it is hard to assess, everything. Maybe after the job is done, I can do better. I will submit another form when the job is completed.
