Serge and his workers (mainly Nick) refinished our entire bathroom consisting of new walls, toilet, bathtub replacement, vanity replacement and sink, floor tiles and wall tiles, replaced all lighting and electrical switches. all painting. We are very happy with the refinishing project on our main bathroom. Nick did a very nice job on the tile work and Serge also good work on the electrical and plumbing. They were very courteous and professional. When they first arrived they put up plastic to keep the dust at a minimum through the house. When they were finished at the end of the day they would always clean up after themselves. I would definitely use them again for other projects at my house.

Project: Hire a Handyman
I have used My Town Handyman in the past for smaller projects and did not hesitate to hire them for a kitchen makeover. They installed cabinets, flooring, new lighting, tiling, electrical, painting, dry wall....everything including the kitchen sink. I am very pleased with their quality of work. I find them to be professional, courteous, hard working and all around very nice people. I highly recommend them.

Sergey, the owner had previously renovated a bathroom for me. It came out beautifully. Recently, he just completed a kitchen. This also turned out really well. I'm a property manager so I can spot good work. Sergiy isn't just above average, he's really at the top of his field. I mean it. I can't say enough good things about him. Workmanship. It's a pain to rehang something as simple as a door. If something is slightly unlevel, in order to rip it out and start over costs a lot of time/money. And, if the homeowner will not notice until the job is long gone and finished, why bother? But, Sergiy apparently doesn't think this way. Without my prodding (which is really unusual), Sergiy was starting things over because he wanted to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to detail is amazing. I've used tons of contractors over the years and I was impressed. I kid you not. You're seriously getting Rolex quality for Casio prices (I have nothing against Casio.). Honesty. Contractors are notorious for trying to cut corners and using cheap materials. Everything to make an additional buck. I can confidently say that Sergiy will not do this. For example, I had Sergiy buy some materials for me. For some of the excess material he didn't use, he could have just kept it and not said anything. It wasn't much. And extra paintbrush or outlet. A few dollars here and there. But, he went out of the way, to return everything, track all the receipts, and give me the difference. Came out to $40. I was like wow. That's a lot of work to make sure everything is on the up and up. I'm sorry if my review is too effusive. I was just blown away by Sergiy and I think he deserves to be rewarded. So, if you're still unsure whether to hire him or not, this is a no brainer. If you want, you can get my number through this website and I can show you his work. You'll be impressed.

My Town Handyman LLC remodeled my laundry room, (similar to a bathroom remodel in that it included a new sink, cabinets, floor and electrical). I called for an estimate, and he was able to come by that same evening. The work involved was removing the laminate flooring, installing ceramic tile (beautiful), removing wall paper and priming and painting (flawless), installing new lighting, a laundry room sink, counter, and cabinet, custom building cabinets, a seating bench, shelves, and installing bead board and crown moulding. I wanted to repurpose some pantry cabinets from an old kitchen remodel. He built a base to raise the old cabinets to ceiling height, and painted them a neutral color (they were a dark wood). He custom built a bench and shelves. I showed him photos I found online and he worked with me to create a design I love! This was the first remodeling job I coordinated "by myself" (my husband usually supervises any work done on our house). I never felt rushed or put off if I had a question or concern. Each morning Sergiy explained what work he would be doing that day. At the end of the day we would go over what he did. He welcomed any questions, and was truly concerned that I was happy with the work every step of the way. I paid for the materials, and Sergiy gave me the receipts each day, explaining them in detail. At the end of the job, he returned the unused materials and sent me a check! Sergiy was a pleasure to work with he was honest, punctual, and thorough. His assistants, Alex and Nick, were meticulous craftsmen. The work area was taped off, debris removed and room swept clean each day. There were no surprises. The job was done on budget, and ahead of schedule. They were very punctual, arriving about 8:30 AM each day, and worked every day (except Sunday) until the job was completed. Sergiy was on site 90% of the time, but if he had to leave (usually to purchase materials) he was always available by phone or text. I highly recommend My Town Handyman and Intend to use him again in the future.

The provider was engaged to fully remodel a bathroom. All the drywall was replaced, which had been covered in old wallpaper. It was determined that the plumbing and wiring needed to be reworked. Upon removing the old, cracked tile it was evident that the subflooring was rotting, apparently due to previous moisture damage. The fixtures, including bathtub, sink and vanity were due to be replaced. The lighting and exhaust were improved, and an in-wall medicine cabinet, shelves and towel rack were installed. As the work progressed, the above-described problems were seen, and corrected. It is important to note that Sergiy took the time to show and explain what the problems were. I also visually inspected the work in progress on a daily basis and was able to confirm that the work did in fact need to be done. The entire bathroom was gutted down to the studs and beams and the provider redid literally everything from that point forward. In addition, holes in the flashing around the soil stack on the roof were discovered and repaired. Caps were installed on the stack (and boiler chimney, while they were on the roof), at no extra charge. After the bathroom was gutted, it could be seen that the (baseboard) heating pipe was not correctly installed. Again, this was repaired at no extra cost. They also replaced/stained the door and moulding. As noted above, the bathroom was COMPLETELY redone in its entirety. I was advised of existing issues which, once shown, obviously needed repair/replacement. (No, I did not "just take his word"). These repairs did require significant effort, but Sergiy kept to his estimate, and did not charge for the added work. He insisted on showing receipts for all materials purchased, literally down to the penny, and there was absolutely no markup on any purchases. Having dealt with several other contractors before, it was a refreshing change to deal with someone who was consistency prompt, and did not attempt to "sell" what I did not need. He held to his estimate and scheduling commitment, and was actually able to finish the entire job days before the agreed-upon completion date. I was impressed by the fact that he has his own permanent crew, and does not use transient workers. The workmanship and attention to detail was self-evident. Note that they work over 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. I've used contractors who barely work 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. It was also a pleasant surprise that they cleaned up the area and removed the debris on a daily basis. At the end of the job, the bathroom was immaculately "broom-swept clean", and usable immediately, with no cleanup on my part. Would I use Sergiy and his crew again, and recommend MYTOWNHANDYMAN? YES!!!

My project was done promptly and professionally. There were no surprises because Sergiy kept close communication and oversight of the project. I am very pleased with the outcome and will use them again for upcoming work.
