They came to the house, diagnosed the problem and told me specifically what needed to be replaced and what did not need to be replaced at this time, gave me an estimate and returned two days later (as scheduled) to install the water softener. The water pressure, which was minimal before, is now great. I was very satisfied with the work they did and recommend them.

Our refrigerator wasn't working and we really needed it either fixed or we needed to know to buy a new one. This company came on a Thursday to repair it (they give a 4 hour window, I asked to be called a half hour ahead, was not called). They did the repair, told us to plug it back in after a few hours and call them with any issues. After plugging it back in, it still didn't work (air wasn't cold). Called back the company and scheduled another appointment for Friday (4 hour window, call ahead requested, no call). When our 4 hour window ended with no one coming and no call, I called the company and was told they were running late and would keep me updated, they never called back. I called and left a message on Saturday, no return call. Called again on Monday and left a message. Within 15 minutes, someone did call me back to tell me the refrigerator's compressor was dead and there was no need for further repair (I have no idea how they knew this on Monday but not on Friday). Obviously this unnecessary delay in replacing our much needed refrigerator was frustrating but the worst part was after waiting to hear from them for 3 days, the person who called on Monday said they had tried calling me a few times. When I let him know that I had been waiting for the call and had zero calls in my incoming call log along with zero voice messages, emails, texts, etc., he became argumentative about it. They did however issue a credit for the parts they used on Thursday but not the "service" call.

On arrival there was only one tech,there was to be 2 as I hired them to disconnect an old gas dryer & reconnect a new one & remove the old one.The tech had an attitude and disagreed with everything I had told him about my conversations re: my hiring them. Only one tech came as explained to me they were short handed. It took 3 days for them to come back and remove the old dryer after several calls to them & them denying the ever told me removal was part of the original price quote. Never again would I deal with them. I'd not recommend them

Absolute worst experience ever! I was told the cost would be $89 to have a technician diagnose the problem with my refrigerator (which is supposed to include any labor or repairs). They were unable to fix the refrigerator because the part needed wasn't in stock. They said they could order the part and come back the following day to do the repairs and that a deposit would be required. I received an invoice via email showing a $9.99 charge for "Shipping" and a $40 charge appeared for "Repair-Ret/Install". The initial $89 was supposed to include any labor costs. When I called the office the following morning to get this cleared up, the secretary said the $40 charge marked, "labor and repairs", was actually for a rush delivery of the part ordered. Not once did anyone previously mention that we'd be responsible for a $40 rush fee on top of a $9.99 shipment fee for a total of $49.99 to ship a $78.45 part... That's more than 60% of the cost of the actual part! ...No way would I agree to that! Not to mention, they said they wouldn't have the part and couldn't come back to do the repairs for 4 days! ...What's the point of a "rush" fee?! So, not only did they charge me 50 extra dollars without explanation and incorrectly/misleadingly label it on my bill, they didn't call back to schedule the repair appointment and weren't able to come and do the repairs on the agreed upon day. If you can believe it, this gets even worse! When my wife called back to get things resolved, she was yelled at and hung up on several times, after the service manager boasted about being a veteran owned 5 star company. He told her that his iPad recorded conversations in our home, which if true, would have been solid proof that he made no clear, verbal mention of these extra charges. After calling back, they then told her that they would not work with us and that we would have to forfeit our $89 when it wasn't even our decision to discontinue their services! ...Obviously unacceptable! After more phone calls they agreed to a full refund but said that we'd have to wait 30 DAYS to be refunded our money?! Days later, after not receiving an email with updates about a refund, I decided to call and request documentation. The secretary told me that she'd have to speak with the service manager. I then proceeded to inquire about the 30 day wait for my money back and all she could tell me was that it's "company policy". She could not, however, explain anything about the reasoning behind this policy or why exactly it would take that long. She then hung up on me after telling me that someone else was calling in. Apparently unsatisfied customers, or customer service in general, is not held in very high regard by this company. By far, the worst customer service my wife and I have ever experienced in our entire lives! The service manager was rude, arrogant, and completely unreasonable! Never will I recommend New England Fitter and Appliance... Just AWFUL! The best thing was that I was able to order the same part directly from Whirlpool at a cheaper price and only paid $14.99 to have it shipped in the same amount of time! It took all of 3 minutes to do the repair and install the part myself.

A professional and knowledgeable staff. They were thorough and informative on the initial consultation which was part of the reason I decided to go with them for the work. System was installed in less than a day and I can already feel and the difference in my water.
