Walter Krisa of North View Home Inspections was absolutely fantastic. From the first time we spoke he was supportive and helpful. My husband and I are in the process of purchasing our first house a 120 year old home, and he has been there to answer every one of our questions, responding via phone and text at the drop of a hat. Walter has gone above and beyond, researching various aspects of our prospective home and he has dedicated considerable time to helping us. In the inspection itself Walter left nothing unturned - crawling into the smallest of spaces in order to thoroughly evaluate the property. We will recommend North view Home Inspections to all of our family and friends moving forward.

I would highly recommend Northview and Walter Krisa. We recently used Walter for a home inspection of a house weâ re hoping to purchase. Walter was super flexible in accommodating our tight schedule and clearly outlined what to expect during the entire process. He was pleasant to work with and extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to point out and describe any issues we should be aware of. He delivered the 130+ page inspection report in less than 48 hours. The report was super detailed, outlining both critical and minor issues and will serve as a great maintenance roadmap for both the interior and exterior of the house.

Walter Krisa of Northview Home inspections performed my home inspection recently in New Rochelle, NY and he was outstanding. I went with Walter as he spent 3 1/2 hours going through the house in great detail. He was friendly, knowledgeable and informative and his matter of fact way of speaking was easy to understand. He not only identified problems and issues, some of which were not immediately obvious, but he consistently put them into perspective, documenting anything noteworthy with descriptions and photos. He did not sugar coat anything but, rather, he explained what the ramifications were, the level of importance and what would need to be done and when, in the process educating me about the house. For example, even though the house seemed to be in good overall shape, the roof looked somewhat old. I found it very helpful when, without prompting, he told me The roof is at the end of its life and, although there is no evidence of any leak at this time, the roof needs to be replaced. Within less than 24 hours after the inspection Walter issued an extremely detailed and comprehensive 125 page report which was logically laid out, easy to read and replete with photos. In addition, as part of his service, he gave me a well written soft cover book entitled. Now that you have had a Home Inspection which provided additional useful information. In addition to the inspection Walter also provided added value during the inspection by, for example, giving helpful hints on how to improve things in the house. The end result of having Walter do the inspection on a home you may be purchasing is that you obtain a great deal of useful information about the house and you leave with a sober, realistic, detailed and comprehensive understanding of any possible issues, probable repair needs (useful in house price negotiations), their likely timeline and upcoming maintenance requirements. All of this information allowed me to make a well informed and confident decision on one of biggest investments one is likely to make, the purchase of a home, and it was also helpful in the price negotiations with the seller. I perceived that Walters goal was to give me the best and most accurate information possible. Through his inspection and the accompanying report I ended up knowing more about the house I was about to purchase than I did even about the home I had grown up in. I recommend Walter Krisa of Northview Home Inspections without reservation. Best money I ever spent!

Walter did the inspection for us on a home we are considering purchasing in Pleasantville. He was recommended to us by a friend who also used his inspection services for a home they purchased a few years ago and were very satisfied. From the outset, Walter was responsive and flexible as we tried to coordinate a time for an inspection that worked for both the sellers, for us and our realtor. During the inspection, Walter was thorough and detailed and he invited me to follow him around while he conducted the inspection. He explained to me the items he was checking and pointed out any items that either need attention or will need maintenance in the future. Walter was not afraid to get his hands dirty either. He crawled on his hands and knees to check inside crawl spaces and in the attic. The day after the inspection, Walter provided a very detailed 130-page report that first provided a summary of the key findings broken out by category (Roofing, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.), followed by a more detailed breakdown of every category with detailed explanations and multiple supporting photos. In closing, we are very happy with his quick responses via texts when coordinating the inspection, and his thorough inspection, which he subsequently provided to us in a report within the next day.

I can't say enough great things about Walter and the quality of his Home Inspection. We hired him after doing some research for an Home Inspector in our area and reading some good reviews--but we were beyond impressed. We're first time home buyers and we were very nervous about buying an older house. Walter exceeded all of our expectations of what a Home Inspection could be. He arrived early, spent 3.5 hours with us walking us through every nook and cranny of the small house, and gave us informed tips and tricks for how to maintain different aspects of a house (from changing the refrigerator filter to how to trim the hydrangeas so they wouldn't impact the foundation). As house-owning newbies, we so appreciated his thoughtfulness and thoroughness. He even provided us with a manual on how to maintain a home post-inspection. His background in contracting gives him a shrewd eye for catching any shoddy work, and he found some crucial, albeit fixable, items for the sellers to address and helped us to understand the future needs of our house. His resulting report was incredibly detailed and he was able to deliver it in less than 24 hours. He answered all of our endless questions, taught us a lot about the house, and even made us laugh along the way -- important given how nervous we were! Our seasoned realtor was also really impressed with his work and attention to detail. Really great guy, amazing service, we can't recommend him enough!

Walter recently did a home inspection for me and my fiancee in New Rochelle. He was very warm, knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. His confidence and clarity exuded trustworthiness and competence. He went out of his way to offer his professional opinions and advise which was much appreciated as first time home buyers. I highly recommend his services for anyone needing a home inspection!

Walt was extremely thorough with the inspection. He took his time and really inspected every aspect of the home-catching things that we really didn t catch the first time. He was recommended to us by a good friend & we will recommend him going forward.

Would highly recommend. Walter was very thorough and explained everything as he went along.

    5.0 Andrew C. Chappaqua, NY

Walt was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when going through the home inspection process, before, during and after the actual inspection. We were able to schedule him with only a couple of days in advance, and he clearly outlined what he would cover and described the whole process. As a first time buyer, this was very helpful to us. During the inspection, Walt would clearly describe all the details he was marking down to help us understand any issues. He was diligent as he worked through the interior and exterior of the house and took about 3 hours for the 2500 sq foot home. He provided the inspection report in less than 48 hours and the report was incredibly thorough. He indicated everything that he considered an issue, even if minor and had pictures for all sections of the house. The report ended up being about 100 pages long. I would highly recommend Walt and North View Home Inspections if you are purchasing a home in the Westchester or surrounding areas.
