1. Work quality hard to see, since duct is in the attic. There were 2 installers who were enthusiastic to do the work and cleaned up, besides disposing the old duct. I did NOT get a picture of the finished work -- that would help! 2. Customer Service was inconclusive, since my initial email of concern was never answered. I received blank email invoices for a deposit receipt. Their customer service were courteous. However, I never thought I was speaking directly to the Company--when calling you had to choose which of 3 different Businesses you wanted ?? The Sales Person was very effective in noting the work and location, where the work took place. He collected a deposit for which he emailed me a blank receipt for deposit. Unfortunately, after departing, he could not be bothered in rectifying the situation and referred me back to that customer service/ Call Center. FYI: NO ONE connected with this Job followed up!! 3. The value for money can only be answered by what my need was, and the affordability. This part worked out very well for me. I had one "problem duct" causing a ceiling vent leak. I could not afford to get the whole house re-ducted, thus, I needed to address the direct problem at hand: replacing one duct, which was better than repair! This is where ONE AIR really came through by just replacing with one NEW DUCT. As result, I paid an affordable fraction of price to accomplish the immediate cause. This bought me time for when I can afford to replenish the whole house. With this consideration and trial I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN --AND hopefully the Company will have settled to improve communications. Thank you Angi P.S. I originally wanted to use Strong on your list. James (Owner) kept me waiting 2 Weeks, stalling and then says he wanted to charge $140.00 just to come and see what the job was. After, that he was hard to contact with no response -- and this is how the course went. I decided to contact someone else. I would not consider Strong Unlimited AT ALL!!
Buyer bewareâ ¦ In One Hourâ  s defense, maybe these prices are industry standard, but the cost compared to work performed is pretty outrageous. First of all, the second item on this receipt is just checking the pressure. $236 dollars for each unit. Checking the pressure takes less than two minutes per unit, so Iâ  ve burned almost $500 just to have the tech attach the gauges. â  Pump downâ  was also part of a $612 dollar charge. Keep in mind, a pump down (when service ports are already open and the gauges are already attached) is just turning the unit on and closing the service ports with an allen wrenchâ ¦ The pressure was low on each unit. They were recently installed by my contractor, so I think they may have lost coolant during the installation. They pumped a little coolant in one unit, and said the second unit had a bad flare. He sprayed the leak detection solution on the connection and said there were bubbles. I didnâ  t see what he was seeing. Weâ  re only about 20-30 mins into the visit at this point. I keep asking for an estimate for the job but they keep calling a manager to get the prices. Why donâ  t the techs know the prices up front? Finally I get the price, and itâ  s almost $1100. I reluctantly agree, because Iâ  d prefer having the units up and running. The tech repairs the flare, inspects the line set, (breaks the line set coverâ ¦), and pumps some new coolant in the second unit. Barely ten days later, the second unit was worse than it was previously. Now it had zero cooling power. I called to have One Hour return to check the work, but there was a TWO WEEK wait. Instead, I used my own tool, gauges, vacuum, and coolantâ ¦ repaired the unit myself and itâ  s been running perfectly the past two weeks. When I inspected the unit myself, the high pressure flare connection was bad. So either the tech damaged it, or it was bad and he didnâ  t notice it. Iâ  m confident he would have charged me another $500-$1000 to repair the second flare and Iâ  d be out $1500-$2000 total for 90 minutes of actual labor. Now I believe in paying people what theyâ  re worthâ ¦ but Iâ  m not seeing the value here. If I spend $1100 on one 60 minute visit, I expect expert work. Instead, I blew an entire weekâ  s pay for a job I had to repair myselfâ ¦
Professional, polite, positive,â ¦quality work performed with the utmost respect for client and home. Highly recommend.
Jimmy, the owner, did the entire replacement of ducts and sprayed the installation. All in one day! He told me he's been doing this trade for over twenty-five years. Jimmy gave me a lot of information and peace of mind! Highly recommended!
The technician was very professional and polite.
