Presidio Roofing, LLC

Presidio Roofing is efficient. Our goal from day 1 has been to provide complete efficiency to the home restoration industry. With a primary focus on insurance-based restorations, we formed our company as a partnership between professionals from both the insurance and construction side of the industry. Our founders include large-loss insurance catastrophe adjusters, custom home builders, roofing sales managers, and most importantly local Texans. Our staff of project managers is small and highly trained and our crews are not day-labor hires, but instead have worked with our founders for years on high complexity, luxury and custom homes. With the vast wealth of knowledge we all bring to the table, we have developed new systems to ease the pain often associated with hiring a contractor. Transparency, efficiency, and ease are our values. Values that we feel should be normal in the roofing industry.

Roof installation was completed late March. It leaked in April and has continued to leak. They have been here 5+ times and still can't correct the problem. The vent pipe for the furnace leaked, which ruined the furnace, soaked the insulation and caused the ceiling tiles to fall down. Despite promises from Nick Van Slyke since August, they have not fixed the leaks in the patio and carport. After $50,000 I still have a leaking roof. Don't hire this company. Their warranty and promises are no good. Nick Van Slyke does not even have the courtesy to respond to my emails. Terrible workmanship and dishonest people.
Response by Presidio Roofing, LLC: For the most part, the work we do, is fairly objective in nature and if there is an issue it is a clear cut issue. In these cases, which are few but do occur, we always honor our warranty and commitment to client satisfaction. Throughout Presidio's history we have gone above and beyond to take care of clients needs and our history of happy client reviews across all the review platforms shows this to be the case. The scenario presented in the above review is purposefully misleading and objectively false in many ways. In short, her home's roof has no leaks. There was a flashing leak a few months ago that was relatively minimal. The water dripped onto the top of her furnace unit and pooled slightly. This leak coincided with the very first cold spell of the year and when Mrs Murphy went to turn on her heater, it would not come on. We immediately came to the home with $500 in emergency space heaters which we gave, not loaned, to Mrs Murphy. That very same day we met our HVAC company at the property and assessed the problem with the furnace. Per the state licensed HVAC contractor, Force Home Services in Denton, there was an issue with one component of the furnace which would cost roughly $600 to repair. The technician noted that he could not correlate the minor water drips with the broken furnace and told us that it was very likely that the furnace had been bad for months and this happened to be the first time it was turned on since the previous winter. However, because we could not say that with certitude, we asked the Tech to do whatever was necessary to restore heat to the home. He stated that the part would take about 5 days to come in and would cost $600. Immediately we asked what could be done sooner and he said the only thing would be to replace the whole unit for over $2000. Without hesitation we gave the go ahead to replace the whole unit and within 2 hours heat was back on at the home. We incurred $2500 in costs for an issue that was not objectively related to our work on the home and we did so in less than 4 total hours since the problem was noticed. There is a not another roofing company in DFW that could do this faster and more efficiently. We then re-flashed the leaking exhaust vent and made arrangements to re-inspect when the heavy rains of the late summer subsided. Over the course of the next few months Mrs Murphy continued to email us regarding an area of her car port that had water dripping through a flashing. This is a structural issue related to the poor design of the home. Her home has a carport on the side with metal roofing that has no pitch to it. We replaced the metal (and upgraded it to a KYNAR coated Mueller steel) but we could not solve the issues of her homes framing without charging her significant amounts of money to re-build the load bearing framing of the car port and install at minimum a 2/12 pitch so water could flow off. But because this was an insurance claim we were working within the scope of work from the car
