Promised Land did a fantastic job on our backyard. Paul and Ramon were excellent, professional, and kept in contact with us throughout the project. We got sod that is very good quality and they helped us plan and pick out some trees/plants that made everything really come together. They did a great job installing the drainage and irrigation system. They really helped us bring our vision to life and you can tell they take pride in their work. I highly recommend Promised Land Nursery. We love our new yard thank you!

Promised Land was great throughout the entire process. They were always available for any and all questions and were fantastic with anything I threw their way. The team was extremely hard working and made our new yard look better than we could have imagined. They seemed to take pride in their work and their designs and put a lot of really unique and special touches that made the yard pop. They were awesome all around and I would highly recommend them.

Promised Land Nursery did an amazing job on our brick wall installation. The job was not an easy one with tree roots and concrete that needed to be removed but they made it look easy. We will be hiring them again for our landscaping projects. All the guys were great and very professional.

Professional landscapers, who did an excellent job fixing what Blake Dietzler, a landscaper i.n.o. did wrong. PLN knows what they are doing, work efficiently, are friendly, and their price was reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

I am sorry to say, but in my experience, Paul and crew were a disaster. Nice enough guy, but I came to realize he is just a salesman. When Paul sold me on his services, he led me to believe he would be on site regularly to oversee the job. That was not the case. I hired him to install 1000 sq ft of sod with new sprinkler system, install a perimeter drip system from existing valve, remove a small amount of surface roots and place crushed rock over weed fabric â simple. But from day 1, they failed to perform numerous agreed upon services. As I would voice my concerns (almost daily), Paul would become defensive and argumentative instead of coming to see for himself or just taking care of it. He would say things like Ramon knows what he is doing or it will be fine, trust me and or my favorite it is really hot this week. Bottom line, when you pay for professional quality work, that is what you expect. The list of deviations goes something like this: 1) Failure to de-root and take soil level down before placing weed fabric (one of the MAIN reasons I hired them). 2) Failure to use PVC primer on pressurized lines (building code requirement). I had THREE joint failures within 6-months and had dig up my new yard to run 80 feet of new piping. Fortunately, two of the three I was home at the time. The third, I came home to a flood. 3) Buried control valve wiring connectors at manifold. I discovered this when I replaced the line noted in item 2. They did not use direct burial connectors, which would have ultimately caused a catastrophic failure. 4) Failure to remove existing sprinkler heads before placing sod. 5) Failure to rototill or provide mulch before placing sod. Yes, the sod immediately started dying. Paul later sent a crew to replace sod while I was not home and, to this day, I'm irritated every time I mow the lawn. Walking on the lawn, It feels like the sod was laid over a bed of large clods/rocks. Unacceptable quality, and it does not feel like a smooth 2-inch bed of tilled-in mulch per our agreement. 6) They trenched through a live underground circuit feeding an outdoor receptacle and did not realize or report it. I came home the day they trenched and my sitter said the TV had just shut off. I figured the crew had plugged something in and just tripped the circuit. Two days later I discovered the ENERGIZED bare Romex wire inside a trench on my side yard where my 2-year old daughter and puppy regularly played. 7) Drip system installation. They haphazardly ran the drip line and nozzles. Numerous nozzles were missing, and many shoot right past the plant they are supposed to water. Not so easy to adjust when the mainline is stapled down. I am also pretty sure they reused used nozzles from another location. Whatever, they are just drop nozzles. Overall, very substandard work. I think it became personal and they could not get out of here fast enough. Not once did they follow up to see how things were performing. This was 4-years ago and I continue to encounter workmanship associated problems to this day.

I recently hired PLN to restore my backyard. Paul the owner did an excellent job explaining in detail all the steps his crew would do to restore my backyard to its natural beauty. Paul's trusted foreman Ramon and his crew worked extremely hard, they did not cut any corners and took pride in their work. After three days my backyard was totally transformed. I am extremely grateful I met Paul and his team. I highly recommend you hire Paul for any landscaping need. In case you are wondering Paul removed my old grass and weeds, installed St Augustine sod, cleanup my slope and plann, trimmed my trees and removed some palms that were damaging my brick wall. Installing sod is a process labor task when done right. You have to kill all the old grass and weeds and then remove it all until all you have dirt. Once that is done you work on the irrigation system to ensure you have water spread out evenly all throughout the ground with proper drainage. Finally, you add fertilizer to the soil and then lay down the sod which is best installed the same day it was cut.
