Project: Install or Completely Replace Wood Flooring
The experience with this company is an ongoing nightmare. They installed a floor that will eventually need to be replaced. My full review will depend on how this issue is resolved. At the 1st inspection results. By Lowe's, because he blamed all the problems with the floor on it being defective. J Michael became defensive, rude turning the blame on me. He even yelled at me, insisting nothing is wrong with the floor. I was shocked at his problems accepting and working to resolve his mistakes. This project started last September. The floor is not sealed, so we still cannot use the rooms in our new home. Anything spilled will seep under it and effect the subfloor. I paid extra for an impermeable floor It is almost March and still waiting for a 2nd inspection because he believed the Lowe's inspector had a financial interest in failing the floor. I have had several other contractors look at it. They all agree This company did a poor job on this floor. A professional would have stopped immediately with the first sign of trouble and bring the problem to Lowe's, not the customer. He told me that the floor did have a defect but assured me I would not of even notice it if he didn't show me. He said it wouldn't affect the floor sealing. He then uses this interaction to blame me for the problems. I believed him till I talked to Lowe's and they informed me that what he said was false. the floor is not sealed unless is but together with no gaps. J Michael did not agree with anything that suggests he is at fault. This is my mother's home. She is 91 years old. I care for her and am disabled myself. What should have been a joy for us to enjoy our new home, has become unnecessarily stressful and exhausting. There are more problems if J Michael does not try to be fair about other repairs as well. Anyone is welcome to come to look at this floor until J Michael takes responsibility and this problem is finally resolved.
Response by Quality Flooring and Carpentry, Inc.: Customer provided materials. The materials were labeled premium but are of low-quality. A small percentage of flooring planks ends were not manufactured at exact 90°. This caused occasional gaps at the end seams. An hour into the job it was discussed with the customer and her instructions were to complete the floor. We are now waiting for an inspection from the manufacturer as Lowes says it is a manufacturing error. I have promised to redo the job free of additional charge once new materials are approved. I have absolutely nothing to do with the extremely long delay of the manufacturer inspection.

Project: Install Vinyl or Linoleum Sheet Flooring or Tiles
did not clean up after finishing
Response by Quality Flooring and Carpentry, Inc.: I remember leaving your house spotless. There is always a haze on the tiles from the grout that needs to be wiped away the following day. I remember your job looking great and no debris left. I don't understand your review at all.

Project: Install Vinyl or Linoleum Sheet Flooring or Tiles
Although they liked doing everything by "hand" I convinced them that 'Measure Don't Guess,' is going to make their work better. Also using a straight-edge tool also makes their work better, and faster.Y es IR an engineer :)
Response by Quality Flooring and Carpentry, Inc.: I think that's a pretty harsh review considering the simplicity of the job and the fact that it came out perfect. Thank you for your input.
