Young Shin and his crew completed a minor house renovation for us adding a closet, wall, and two doors between rooms. While the project took a couple more days than originally expected, his crew was finishing up important detail work that made the project look great. He communicated quickly and his pricing is reasonable. We paid 50% down and 50% on completion and had no issues. They worked with difficult not square old walls, an antique door and hardware I sourced to match our house, and some other quirky details. We will absolutely use him and his team again.

As an investor, I couldn't have had a better experience. They went above and beyond to deliver on promises, even when they're were miscommunication. Super courteous and professional. Will absolutely hire again.

Horrible communicator, he takes your money and does not complete the job. The quality is horrible. I paid him full but he did not finish the work and what he did was incorrectly so I had to hire someone else. So he took my money and stopped communicating.

Quest 1 Construction is an incredibly competent, thorough and experienced contractor. This company understands older buildings and has helped us transform a small Georgetown townhouse into a dream family home. Quest 1 worked with us to select material, establish a plan, and kept in touch almost daily as we were on a very tight timeline. Overall - this is 5 stars PLUS for bathroom, kitchen, laundry room and general living space remodel! Trustworthy expertise that you can count on throughout the project and great quality finish!

They reconstructed a closet (excellent job), reinstalled a damaged bamboo floor, and repainted an entire room after I had my foundation reinforced, which left the mess this company fixed.

Young Shin took my money and he refused to send his workers to complete the job because he spent my money and did not have enough funds to pay his workers to continue. He asked for additional funds even though they had not completed the phase that I already paid for. This additional funds request was not for any additional new work in excess of the contract. It was to get another crew over to the house to continue with where they left off. The bottom line is Quest1Construction abandoned the job owing me services to catch up to what I already paid for.

This contractor is in breech of his contract with me. He is ignoring the contract he wrote and insisting he gets paid before he does the work. He has walked off the job and I will be seeing him in court. Early on, I advanced him payments not yet due but the quality of the work has been so sub standard that nearly every item had to be redone multiple times. For example, he installed a laundry room without the vent to the roof the scope required, when I pointed this out he installed a vent pipe that ran across a bedroom to a window, when I pointed out that it was not to scope he had his guy redo it; it still came into the bedroom and then went up, I complained again and he told me it couldn't go up because of the roof truss, when I went to the attic crawl space and I pointed out he was wrong he eventually put the vent in correctly but wanted to charge me for all the unnecessary work he did. other things included a front door with unprepared damage was installed and improperly finished, a threshold was installed crookedly, the wrong size pipe was used for a range hood vent, toilet was installed not to code, paint was left on floor and bathroom fixtures, 2 wrong internal doors were installed, damage to walls was not repaired, over 1ooo lbs of trash was left in my backyard, and that is just for the items he claims are complete; he also left a toilet disconnected in my master bath, didn't do concrete or terrace repairs. Happy to share pictures if you contact me at

We had an excellent experience with this company! They called us immediately, came out the next day to review the project, and gave us a quote within a day. It was much more affordable than the other quotes we received. We planned a start day and they started and finished on time. They did absolutely beautiful work! We now have a brand new basement bathroom, and we are very pleased with all aspects of this experience.
