He wanted me to pay him money 3 weeks before the job started after the signed agreement said 50% when the project starts was when the money was to be paid. He also raised the price by $500 over the signed agreement. He made me wait 3 months for the project to start and now he will not return my call.

Overall the quality of work was superb and we're very happy with the end results. The only complaint I had was the lack of communication for scheduling the job and trying to get ahold of the owner to discuss the job, but otherwise a good experience. I would use again and recommend to others.

My only complaint is that Robert (The "R" of R. Tagg) was hard to get a hold of during the day (while he was on other jobs). Other than that, I think he was honest, knowledgeble, skilled, professional, and reasonably priced.

Robert and his crew did a nice job. He was wonderful to work with and thorough quoting. I really appreciated him taking on a smaller roofing repair job in late November when many other were running away or double+ price quoting. Good person and a good professional. I would recommend R.Tagg Xteriors to anyone looking for a good contractor.

The phone call for a quote as well as the initial inspection were very quick. After that, it was like pulling teeth to contact Robert. The first day of the project, they were an hour late. After the first day, i was told there would be additional costs. The second day, instead of arriving "first thing", they arrived at 2:45 in the afternoon requiring them to come back a third day. My wife was told he was "sorry" and that we would be billed the original amount. After completion of the job, i was billed for the extra anyways. Numerous phone calls were missed and I was never contacted on any of the days to indicate arrival time. While the work is decent (a hole was left between the ceiling and wall) i would not recommend.
Response by R.Tagg Xteriors, LLC: Sad and surprised about this review. I take pride in my customer service and quality. I gave Mr. Jonson a detailed contract down to each piece of wood that would be included and a detailed overview of extra costs for wood should we would need more due to the fact that his garage was in bad shape. Mr. Jonson was was adamant that he wanted to do the bare minimum due to his planning on selling his home. Because he was in a hurry I told him I could squeeze him in between two jobs. I let him know we had to unload some stuff from the previous days job at our shop and we would be a little late when we arrived. He called twice first thing in the morning wanting to know where we were. I answered and explained we were loading like I told him the day before. We arrived and began the project as planned. Right away as we started tearing off the roof we found the entire back wall to be rotted away. We also dealt with a pop up rain storm that we waited out that afternoon and a drunk driver drove into two vehicles then his neighbors house. I got off the roof and wrestled the keys from the driver because he was attempting to flee the scene, called the police and had my guys make sure he didn't get away. Those issues made it that we would have to come back the next day. I spoke with Mr. Johnson about everything that was going on that evening. I told him I would be setting up the next job in the morning for half my crew, picking up more materials for his job and then I would be to his house with a couple guys to finish up. Again my phone hang first thing in the morning asking where we were. I explained again i was setting up half the crew and getting materials then getting there. While getting the materials and driving to four supply house to attempt to match the siding we needed to replace because he did not have the pieces he was supposed to supply for the back wall Mr. Johnson called me six times. When I arrived I talked to his wife, explained what I was doing, told her I was sorry I didn't talk to her husband I was trying to get materials and set up the other guys on the other job because we did not need all seven guys on a one car garage. I had her come in back to show her all the rotten walls and studs in back, I showed her the progress of our rebuilding. She seamed pleased she said that that sounds like her husband to keep calling. She also reiterated that they were selling the house and didn't want to get crazy fixing up the garage. I explained that I understood but would have to make sure it was solid. I told her I would only charge her cost for the wood and go as easy as I could. We worked on all the structural work. every time we got to another section we found more rotten wood. There rafters were not nailed properly so we re-hung each one. This was time consuming. We got to the point that we needed more wood. I let her know the situation and that it was getting late, explained that a one car garage had turned into a huge project. I told her that unfo
