Hired Ray and his crew to paint the exterior of my 95 year-old house. I felt that he would do a very professional job after talking with him. The crew was thorough in their preparation and work. They did a great job--the neighbors even stopped by to say what a great job they did. Ray was very attentive throughout the process. I would definitely hire him again.

Exterior Home or Structure - Paint or Stain: We hired Ray and his crew for two projects (sanding and spray painting 22 new interior doors and jambs and repair / re caulk / painting our homes exterior). Ray was very easy to work with and came in with the best price out of four bids we got. The amount of detail and care his crew took had us feeling really comfortable and confident with their work. Mario and his crew did a flawless job making our house look like new again outside. We have already referred Ray to a neighbor and a friend, and they are both happy too. Incidentally, we found out later that Ray built the house my wife grew up in! He used to be a builder before focusing on painting. Painting or Staining - Doors: This is my second review for Ray. We had him paint our exteriors, but this review is for a separate job of painting all our interior doors. Rays crew leader Keith and his assistant Eric made our doors look better than I imagined possible. They took really detailed care in removing all the doors, setting them up in our garage, and diligently sanding and 2-coats of spraying. The doors look better than if they had been factory painted! Ray himself is always a pleasure to work with and has the best pricing and attention to detail. When we noticed a small flaw in a door, Ray even came over to make the repair that evening to get it looking perfect.

Project: Paint, Varnish or Stain Interior Surfaces
I hired Ray to paint my entire home interior and some repair work on the exterior. This was a large job to paint over 3,400 Square feet home with high ceilings, all walls, ceilings doors, windows, trimsâ ¦etc. Staining and repairing the deck, outside repairs and painting. The work done was perfect. The crew worked really hard every day to complete the job on time. I kept adding additional work and requests and Ray was more than accommodating with more than fair pricing. The work quality is excellent, and they take the time to make sure every repair is done properly and professionally. My wife and I were very pleased with the results. I would strongly recommend Ray and Marioâ s crew . I was worried in the beginning considering the size of the job, but when the crew start working and I observed their attention to details and how hard they were working none stop, I was glad that I hired Ray and his team. We were worried about the hardwood floor because we just got a new hardwood floor installed and stained prior. Ray and team made sure that the floors were protected and covered in the entire house at all time. I would hire Ray again for sure, I would not look for anyone else for any painting or repair work. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND RAY MONCZKA.

I felt great about awarding the interior home painting job to Ray. I felt confident that Ray would do a professional job through our initial conversation. There were some challenging areas to prep for painting, and Ray exhibited the expertise to address these areas. I am happy with how my home's interior looks.

Mario and his team did a great job! They were professional, polite, and did great work! Ray was very attentive until he received his deposit. He was difficult to contact afterwards until the work started . I felt like he was cost creeping at first, but he ended up negotiating to a fair a reasonable cost. I would hire them again - the house looks great - I am very happy!

We signed a contract with Ray on June 8 and paid a deposit to have our gutters, down spouts and garage door painted. The job was suppose to start the next week but no one showed up or called. I tried to call several times and sent emails and texts with no reply. I finally reached him on June 15 and he told me he had some health issue and someone would be out that week to power wash. Again, no one showed up, no phone call, no text. After 3 weeks someone came on July 4th weekend to power wash during our family party. We sent them away and called on Monday to have our deposit returned and cancel the job. Ray had another excuse regarding a family emergency and had to go out of town. While I am empathetic with family situations, he should have called and I don't know why that would affect the painter doing his job since he used subcontractors to do the work. He was apologetic and agreed to reduce the price if we gave him a second chance. When his painter finally showed up, the job not as discussed. There were obvious brush marks on the gutters and doors that looked horrible. We had several other quotes and his was not the cheapest but we thought he would be better quality. His description on the contract stated it would be sprayed. They came back out to sand and spray the gutters and doors correctly. The job was finally completed almost 5 weeks from the initial start date. I was not happy with Ray's communication skills during this process. I would only recommend him if he gets help with dealing with customers phone calls and emails. The end result was very nice and Mario, the painter, was very courteous and neat.
Response by Ray Monczka Painting: I'm sorry Shelly felt that way. My daughter had both of her breasts removed at this time which became very important in my life. The contract didn't state to be sprayed, but when she complained we went out and redid the job again to make her happy, and I'm pleased she has a perfect job.

Review Ray's contracts. He has a tendency to leave out items even though they were covered during walk through, and then charge you again for same work. My wife was at home on last day and he conned her out of another $ 500.00. If I would have been there I would have called the cops. Decent work, but Kieths crew would better off without Ray. He's a cheat and a liar. They took 5 days to paint a great room 400 sq. ft. A kitchen 200 sq. ft. A bedroom 150 sq ft. a hallway 24 sq ft. and a half bath 30 sq ft. Last day was hurried an poorly done. Also ruined a $30 light switch and lost a critical screw to support a built in radio/ intercom.
Response by Ray Monczka Painting: I am totally offended by this gentleman.I have never in my life conned anyone. I am a giver to people. The people picked 5 different colors (1 for each room) when I had explained only 1 color in agreement. When we were about completed he stated he thought the master bed room was included, and I showed him contract that never stated master bedroom. I always list every room to be painted. Rather then fight with homeowner I told my painters to paint which was free to homeowner. Their drywall was in excess needing repair, and I always tell people if it is excessive I will charge additional. I charged them an additional $500.00 for additional paint and drywall work which his wife totally agreed to without a complaint. His paint work came out perfect as all of our interior work. Sorry he feels that way, but I feel conned

We got several quotes and Ray came in at the best price and quality. He was a referral from a neighbor and we are very happy with their crew. They were on schedule. It is very difficult to get on his schedule because he is so busy. He is that good.
