Ridgeline Roofing and Consulting, LLC makes sure to put you in contract. They bring shingles to make you believe the are going to do the job and make promises but when it's time to get the work done they are missing in action. Then they send workers after four promises who were asked by the contractors to ask me for more money. Then after I get other people to do the job after he stopped answering my call for two weeks. Then he still wants to charge my credit card company for work he didn't do. They know full well they did not do the job and make it difficult for a consumer to dispute the credit card charge because of the contract. I filed a police report to address the shingles they took from my property.

I had a very good experience with Nathaniel and the workmen who did the repairs on my home. I had a new roof installed as well as some other damage from hail. Gutters, gutter helmet and downspouts, fascia, siding and replacement of the patio roof. Snow and rain slowed the installation but I was always able to call or text Nathaniel and I am very happy with the finished work.

I gave this company a .5 for customer service only because NEGATIVE 5 was not an option. I contracted this company to install an upgraded "Impact resistance" shingle on my house. They were 80% complete when I discovered that they were not installing the material they quoted or what I contracted them for. The salesman Nathaniel, (who comes across very nice) tried to convince me that it was the same material with a different name. He must have thought I was stupid until I proved to him it was not the same. When I finally made contact with the owner Mike Sandoval, (who never came across as professional from the start) I told him I was not satisfied with installing the wrong material from the contract. he gave me two options: Finish the roof with the wrong material or leave it unfinished at 80% complete. I told him I would not pay for the wrong material being installed. He then called me a "Greedy homeowner" and said he would place a lien on my house. He also stated "This is not my first rodeo; I've been to court many times and won. He would not finish the roof unless I allowed him to use the wrong material. He was holding my unfinished roof hostage until I agreed. Even before the work was finished the owner was knocking at my door for final payment. I told him I would pay until after they pass inspection. I later found out that they did not pull a permit for the work until I told him I wanted an inspection. I also found out that the owner lied to the building inspectors by telling them he needed a quick inspection because the house was for sale and he needed the inspection to close. This is a complete lie in every sense. While trying to sort out the final balance after 6 different versions of the quote with bad math, incorrect tax and changing figures, the owner repeatedly showed up at my house, sent multiple demanding emails. I even got and email from the owners father with an underlying threat and told me to "Stop crying, pay up and move on!" They appeared very reputable at first until a problem came up and I had to deal with the owner. I don't know how someone like this made it thru Home advisers screening process. I have since contacted Home advisory about this issue and have received no help so far. I have now been contacted by a rep from HA and are trying to work a solution to this issue. The owner of the roofing Co is not trying to work this out and remains defiant.
Response by Ridgeline Roofing and Consulting, LLC: To Home Advisor and any future customers to read this; I am the owner Mike Sandoval . We did make a mistake on Robert "Bobby" Boucher order when they were delivered. We were suppose to have GAF impact resistant shingles delivered. Unfortunately, when delivered they were GAF Timberline HD Shingles vs GAF Armor Shield Impact Resistance shingles. This was a mistake and upon discovering this we stopped work immediately and asked Bobby if he wanted us to tear off the shingles we had installed and come back tomorrow to install the Impact Resistance Shingles. Bobby Stated he wanted to think about it as he doesn't want a bunch of nails re-installed on his decking. Bobby called the owner and wanted us to finish the job using GAF Timberline HD Shingles which were already installed, however he wanted to only pay for material and nothing else. Due to the extremely competitive price of $257 per 100 square feet we were unable to do this. The customer made some harsh statements and demands that were very aggressive in nature. I communicated to him that I would work a solution out . Bobby was very rude and condescending & unwilling to work together. I offered a settlement and apologized. He didn't want to accept this fair settlement of two thousand off the already low price for the roof replacement. We then talked about next steps. Bobby then agreed to the settlement of $2000 off. We finished the roof the next day and the City passed inspection the following business day, hence validating the quality of work being completed. Bobby continued to make threats to us. His roof passed inspection with flying colors & we paid for the GAF system plus warranty free of charge due to this error. We offered to re-roof the house with the correct shingles which Bobby decided not to allow us to do and wanted us to simply finish the roof with the GAF Timberline HD shingles. The customer has a good roof installed correctly & at a high quality and extremely low price. The insurance money provided to the homeowner was several thousand more than he had to pay and we reduced our price and paid for a warranty out of our pocket and offered to re-install with correct shingles which the home owner decided not to allow us . I'm licensed and insured with many happy customers & hate having a situation like this occur. Unfortunately the material delivered was incorrect and should not have occurred but we did everything we could to correct the situation and followed the homeowners demands to appease him. We apologized and finished his roof with the most professionalism possible and would like to satisfy the homeowner. He is not willing to make amends only wanted a free roof. He did not come out of pocket for any expense. We would be open to mediate with him to fully satisfy his concerns. Thank you
