Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
Not sure where to start and probably not enough room to fully describe the problems I had with hardwood floor install: -I have had a second flooring company come out who basically told me the entire floor needs to be re-installed, and the wood bought is probably not able to be re-used. Over $12,000.00 Ive now wasted on materials and horrendous install. -Underlayment is basically useless with holes, not sealed, and jagged ripped edges not going all the way to the walls. -Wood installed incorrectly, uneven cuts, uneven gaps, 60% of the boards are not tapped in place to each other, tried to fill gaps with wood putty as big as 1/4&34; gaps between boards in some places. -Glue between boards was done in correctly and we find areas everyday since install where too much glue was used and squirted out and left to dry on the face of the board, leaving my wife and i to get on the floor and scrape it off. -Demo/installer didnt have correct tools to do the job, i had to loan my own tools several times to be able to move the job along. I also spent an additional 350.00 on tools and supplies for the installer demo person to be able to do HIS JOB. -Demo/installer clearly had no idea what he was doing installing hardwood (engineered), and had no business doing this big of a job. -Poor quality install in general, started job installing incorrectly not gluing boards together, thought it was snap together laminate when it is indeed 1/2&34; engineered tongue and groove hardwood. Luckily i caught it before he installed too much of it, but then now i just am cleaning up excess glue all over the entire floor. -Completely uneven and not level, and due to poor demo job that left holes all over the slab the baseboards are now up to 3/8&34; gaps from floor in some places. -I had 1950 square feet of material, for about 1540 feet of install, expecting to have several cases left over to be able to have some for repairs, or changes in the future, and return the overage. Its ALL GONE every last foot, and barely had enough to finish the job. 250sq ft (roughly $1500.00 in material) of wood completely wasted and gone, in the dumpster. Not one extra piece left. This is due to lack of experience and general knowledge by the installer. Using a full 70&34; piece of wood for a small 10&34; end piece, cutting it off, the 60&34; piece went in the dumpster.... then start over, open a new case. -We laid out the plan and how we wanted it done, and several times had to remind the workers of the conversations we had each morning before i left for MY JOB of the expectations, just to come home, and see that they forgot it all. -Never one time showed up on time, or when the said they would be there. NOT ONCE. Asked why? &34;Traffic&34; -The job had moments of being good, then quickly overshadowed by issues. Clearly the quality went down hill quickly when getting towards the end of the day or job. -Took longer than expected and promised. Only positive I can say is it was the cheapest bid i had, and Sam the owner was attentive and willing to work with us, but i couldnt afford to continue to buy more materials, and tools, and be there every minute of the day to insure his workers were installing correctly and how we asked. I just got tired of having to call Sam, and remind his workers to do the job right, when i dont feel i should have to do that when i have my OWN job to do to be able to pay for this. I hired a pro, expecting professional work, and wish i would have done it myself. Sad part is I would have paid 2Xs as much to have to have it done right. The saying has never been more true than you get what you pay for. It's unfortunate because i actually liked Sam, and felt good about him. The subs? Theyre not good, make sure to properly vet the ACTUAL workers doing the work prior to hiring. Ill actually have to pay AGAIN once i have the money ...

The crew that did my roof was polite, considerate, and efficient. They went above and beyond and even painted my fascia board. Had one issue and they came the next day and resolved it. I would highly recommend Sam and his team!

Project: Install Wood or Stone Laminate Flooring
The outfit that i originally hired to do the installation of upper level vinyl planking, decided they couldn't handle the job. We went to Home Adviser, in hopes that they could direct us to another company. When i saw Scottsdale in the name of the company, i was reluctant to hire them for a rather small job. My fears were wiped away quickly, when i was contacted by Sam and he assured me that they can do just about anything. With some skepticism, in my heart, i agreed to meet him at the project. i am really glad i did. Fair price, thorough explanation, timely appointment and an outstanding result. If you don't hire these people, you are missing out. Thanks to all.
