I hired Sea Coast Remodeling to install a porcelain tile floor in my kitchen, dining room and hallway. Initially, my husband and I were pleased with his work. It wasn't until months later that the tiles began to either shift, recess and pop up in several different spots through the area. He had also cut a carpet and where he folded the carpet back, there are several nails which are exposed. My infant grandchild stepped on one of those nails! John provides shoddy workmanship and an unprofessional attitude. I have contacted him several times and he will not take my phone calls nor return them. I spoke to him the first time I called and he took no responsibility for his work, asked me "What did I do to the floor"? and told me that he would call me back, to which he never did. I've since called 5 times. This man is a disgrace and should not be hired under any circumstances. Do yourself a favor and read all of his reviews. There are several similar ones to mine on here. There's a clear pattern here. I do NOT recommend this business.
Response by Sea Coast Remodeling: First of all. There is no grout coming out anywhere. Customer told me this. Tiles do not shift, raise, or recess. On the rare occasion a tile loses its bond, the grout around it would chip out. I was told there is no grout coming up anywhere. As far as where the carpet meets the tile, I offered a 2 inch metal threshold cover. Customer did not want that look. Therefore carpet tack strips were used. If anyone knows another alternative, let me know. All was checked and looked at when job was complete. All was perfect. I have lots of pictures to show the craftsmanship and how well the final project looks.

Project: Install Ceramic or Porcelain Tile
Project: Install ceramic back splash. The price was very fair. John made very positive suggestions about tile layout. The work area was protected and left clean at the end of the job. The work was completed in 1 day. I am very satisfied and happy to recommend Sea Coast.

Sea Coast showed up every day at 8:30 am. most days they worked until 5 and some days they were working until 6:30pm. they were fair, informative and easy to deal with. we chose Sea Coast because the owner seemed to know his business and the examples of his work were impressive. Our bathroom(s) turned out better than expected. I would recommend Sea Coast to anyone thinking of a bathroom remodel project.

I love my new kitchen. Very professional from start to finish, and John and his sons completed the kitchen remodel two days earlier than expected.

we had Seacoast Remodeling convert our tub and shower into a wheelchair accessible shower. The design was OK but the execution of it was less than professional. He showed no attention to details even after the errors were brought to his attention. Some were fixed and some were glossed over because they could not be fixed without a major overhaul. Finally when the grout in the shower was chipping away he fixed a small part around the drain and then more chipped away and he advised us to find someone else to fix it because he didn't like our tone. He would take no responsibility for this shoddy workmanship. He offered to pay a reasonable amount to have it fixed but by now there were other defects which were structural in nature. He sent us $300 and said that released him from any liability. Each day I see more details that make the job look bad. I would definitely not recommend Seacoast unless you want a contractor who does not make himself available to you and who does less than perfect work.

Seacoast Remodeling did a great job in my bathroom. The whole bathroom was gutted and replaced. Finished a day early which was wonderful since it is the only bathroom in my home. Would recommend John and his sons to anyone that needs this type of work. Will use him in future for kitchen remodel.

I have to say that right before I hired Seacoast I had a contractor that was super dishonest, unethical and just plain horrible. Seacoast came in and really did a fabulous job. They were honest, the worked efficiently and maintained a very clean work area. Seacoast is the only contractor that backed up what they promised. I will hire them over and over if I need to. I would recommend them hands down, you will never be disappointed with the end product.

Couldn't be more happy. Outstanding work that was done a full day earlier than scheduled while accommodating our special needs. I highly recommend John and I do expect to use him in the future.
