    I'd give all ZERO stars if it let me!!! Called them to fix a large Friedrich window AC/heat unit at my small church. It's 36,000 BTUs! Their earliest appointment was 10 days out. All the HVAC companies said they don't service window units so I had no other choice. Scheduled to arrive between 10 am and 2 pm. Was waiting since 9:45. At 11:20, their dispatcher calls and asks if its a central AC unit because they've never seen a window unit that big. I said no, I gave them the model number when I set the service call so they should know exactly what the unit is. She said she wasn't sure if they need to send an HVAC technician or an Appliance Repair technician but they would figure it out. Really? You wait until MORE THAN AN HOUR after the appointment time to figure out who you're gonna send on the appointment??? Talk about unprofessional! But it gets worse. Called at 1:30 because they are supposed to call me 30 minutes before arriving and I haven't heard from them yet. I'm told it's still scheduled and they'll be there by 2:00. At 2:20 I still haven't heard from them so I called again. I was told they were delayed and will be there between 3:00 and 4:45. Really? I've been waiting ALL DAY! At 3:30 the technician calls and informs me they don't service Ericsson AC units and no one can get parts for them anymore anyway so they won't be coming. REALLY!!! I said it's not an Ericsson, it's a Friedrich and they have a parts distributor right in Queens, I know, I've been there. They said they don't service that brand either and can give me the customer support number for them if I want... UNBELIEVABLE!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH INCOMPETENCE AND INCONSIDERATION in a service provider before! I wasted 6 hours of my day for them to tell me 90 minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment they won't do the work. UNACCEPTABLE!!! My time is valuable too... Will NEVER call them again for anything...

    The project coordinator called me the day before installation to confirm all details and arrival time. The team arrived as promised. The contractors were very friendly, experienced and professional. They pointed out and configured things that other AC techs had missed. Both floors of my home are now comfortable. I'm very happy I went with Sears and would call them again.

    Experienced sales rep with 28 years in the business. Knew all the details. Dedicated installation team that went the extra mile to finish the job when a part they ordered arrived late. Expert installation and nice clean up. Quick follow up by Sears to check on everything. Would do business with again!

    I am so happy with the work that The Sears contractor did on installing my central air. In just one day, they did a beautiful, clean, professional installation. I was a little worried about what the vents would look like in my ceiling, but they are clean and subtle and quiet. I would recommend anyone looking to add this comfort to meet with Sears to discuss.

    From the initial appointment with the salesman to the end of the installation I was impressed with the professionalism and the explanation of everything that was going to be done.

    I paid for the furnace and duct cleaning at the same time. I had no trouble with the installation of the furnace, but probably would have been better off contracting for the duct cleaning separately, which took several weeks and two service calls to get done. The work itself was fine, though.

    Sears sent the subcontractors called "The Heating Pros" who were great. I cannot speak for any of their other subcontractors.
