Paid 18k to have Andy's company to install sod and a patio. Initially, he was very attentive and very friendly. After 4 months, patio is starting to sink and he will not return calls or come back out to fix the problem. If you decide to use this company, be sure to get warranty in your contract and in writing. Would not recommend Segrest Property Services for any landscaping.

Andy and his team arrived on time, properly attired for the task, with each man immediately attending to their specific function. Their equipment was well maintained and ran trouble free. Andy remained on site and kept me informed of the project progress. The work was completed in the expected time. In summary, I would sescribe Segrest Property Sevices LLC as professional, competent, and truly customer focused.

I hired Segrest Property Services about 4 years ago to maintain the landscaping at a parcel with two vacant office buildings. I live about 2000 miles away in Wash State, so there was no ability for me to see how the property was being maintained after I left the area. While I was there for a few months, they did a good job and was always very professional and responsive to issues. I now have a prospective tenant for one of the buildings and I flew out to meet with her. This is where the issue begins. It appeared that no one had been out to the property doing anything for quite some time, even though I've been paying for services every month for nearly 4 years. No trimming of bushes, no weeding, and grass that was a foot tall. I was appalled...it looked like a completely derelict building all the while I was back home thinking that everything was being taken care of. Apparently there were even comments at a public hearing on rezoning the property about the state of the property. When I emailed the company, he was apologetic and said that he hadn't been out to the property in 7 weeks because he was on a retreat, but his employees should have been there. However the overgrowth and lack of trimming is far beyond 7 weeks of neglect. The owner offered to come out and do a "major clean-up" and maintain the property for the remainder of the year at no charge, and he would keep me updated with pictures after each visit. He sent 3 pictures the first week which showed the parking lot (which looked good) and the lawn area that were freshly mowed. Next time, he sent a single picture of the mowed lawn, even though I emailed him about the comments from my prospective tenant. That new tenant told me that there is a lot of trimming that hasn't been done, and even though I forwarded those comments to the company, they never responded to them. I sent him pictures of areas that I'd specifically like addressed, and have not heard back from him with an update on those areas. I can only assume that they are not being taken care of after the negative feedback from my prospective tenant. I'm really disappointed that Andy hasn't responded to my emails, and appears to have only done a marginal job of "catching up" which never should have been needed in the first place. There wasn't a category for "landscape maintenance," so I selected the best category I could find.
Response from Company:
Hello Mr. R, I apologize for your dissatisfaction with the company. This company has been sold and absorbed by another landscape firm. We are still in the process of everything and I assure you that this will never happen under the new management.

I am very pleased with the sod install and the removal of dying trees and the installation of new shrubs. Andy Segrest and his team did a professional job. I recommend them.

Andy is a very nice guy. Can't say anything bad about him personally. Though I am somewhat satisfied with his service, I am just not feeling that he listened to me explaining my experience level with gardening (low), or how much I stressed that I was depending on them to give good recommendations. Though I see new grass in sunny areas, I still dont have a full lawn. Now I am about to maybe pay another sum of money to basically start the job over. Lots of work to be done. Maybe its my experience level, but I may hire the other company that was recommended, see how their work is, and keep whomever Im comfortable with. Wish me luck.
Response from Company:
Thank you mr. Paul for the review. We hope you are satisfied with the seed and aerating. It does take a while for seed to germinate, I hope your lawn is lush by the summer.

Required second application of weed/grass mixture killer. All undesirable weeds/grasses were not killed prior to installation of sod. After six weeks, unsighthly weeds/ grasses are appearing in installed sod.
Response from Company:
All grass and weeds on this project were dead when sod was laid. Topsoil was brought in for added nutrients to the soil, however neighboring yards are 100% weeds.
