Reviews
Write a ReviewExcellent experience and craftsmanship with new patio paversâ highly recommend!
Project: Retaining wall across the back of the lot. Selected this company based on indicated experience, commitment to schedule/complete the job in a quick timeline and reviews. I live in a new construction community with narrow and sloping side yards. I wanted the contractor to be able to use the empty lot behind me for equipment and materials before construction began on that lot in coming weeks. (This was more for the ease of the contractor.) The quote from Nile was one of the highest, but selected him based on the crew and experience he indicated. Once I had HOA approval and deposit paid, communication from the Nile was scarce. The expectation was worked would begin following receipt of my deposit (7/15). Advised materials were ordered on 7/18 and the project would start by the last week of July. Upon following up the last Fri of July, the project was now going to start the next week. Then it became the next week. The project began on 8/15. All be it, this is still a quick timeline in a contracting world; however, it was a long lead time than proposed. (I could have used a company with a lower quote with this timeline.) This install led to other projects (fencing, irrigation) and I had those contractors asking for timelines. Turned out, Nile built the wall himself. No crew. The wall is beautiful, though not without several issues. Even though the plot survey was provided, the lot pins are clearly marked, and there were explicit property walkthroughs regarding property lines, both corners of the 4 ft; high wall had to be redone as the wall encroached other properties. Nile quickly rectified the issues, including fixing one corner on the day of the fence install. Sod also was laid outside of my property line. It is impressive that 1 man built the wall in about 6 days. It looks like he did good work. I am really pleased with my flatter, more usable backyard space and a level of confidence that the wall will be standing for decades. The retaining wall looks fantastic!! Nile is a nice guy; very friendly. I think my experience was impacted by Niles staffing constraints and my quick timeline needs. Had he had a crew, better communication and no property line issues, this would have been a 5 star review, for sure. I have shared his name with all those who have admired/asked about the wall.
Great experience with Nile and his guys. They did a great job on a sunroom floor that was in desperate need of repairs. They leveled the floor and sealed and stamped it. Looks great!!
The excuses and no shows began almost immediately after the first down payment. The concrete for our patio was finally poured. He was paid in full at that point. However, he never returned to install drains as promised as part of the job and never returned after several phone calls and messages to him to come and remove the forms. To this day he has not responded to any messages and we have had to remove the forms ourselves and have the drains installed ourselves. Would not recommend this company based on communication and no when promised.
The rain had held us up several days and when we?re to come back, we called to tell them we were on our way to remove the forms he said they had removed the forms and they did not need us to come out. They wanted us to add an addition to the patio that was installed perfect and they loved it. I did not have time to do the additional work due to work schedule. We do all we can to satisfy our customers and prioritize our work. We wish them well and hope they enjoy their beautiful patio.
Nile was amazing! From day 1 of him giving me my quote he made personalized recommendations and helped me decide which would be the best turf for my house. The turf arrived quickly and on installation day he and his partner were quick, efficient on time and professional! Highly recommend to anyone looking to do a turfing/landscape project :)
He needs follow-up communication
While I had some issues with the initial application, Nile was able to rectify the work and complete the job to a good quality level. Nile is dedicated to the work and ultimately feels strongly about making the job right and customer satisfied.
We are in the process working with Rob to do touch ups and make things 100%. We are committed to Rob to make sure the customer is satisfied. We have completed the minor repairs as of 7-11-20.
The owner is a really good guy. Took longer than contracted time but he made good on it and offered some extras to make up for it. Very fair. Workmanship is top-notch and he has very good attention to detail. Happy to leave a good review.
We only signed one contract in November and no monies were exchanged until Dec 31 to lock in material cost. We do not schedule work until we get a deposit. We explained to the customer we were still working on a job that the weather had set us back a lot (Dec, Jan, Feb and parts of March were severe and not favorable for digging). When we started the job for the original work the customer added an additional wall in the back and we had to regrade the back area and divert a small creek to keep the back yard from washing out and standing in water. In the process of all of this, rain was a factor because rain was prevalent every week 2 to 3 to 4 days at a time. Yes, there were dry days but the ground was still saturated and too muddy to maneuver a machine in a saturated mud area. Out of a month we able to work 6 to 7 days at most and that was on the back area that was added. We finally were able to start the original work and of course the rain was still prevalent and severe, again 3 days of rain and 2 days dry maybe. The days that were dry we were trying to let things dry out so we would not be a total mess and would cost more to fix and clean up. There was addition to the original work as well. We gave the customer a $1000.00 discount because of the setbacks in regards to all of the rain and weather, we stayed in constant communication with the customer at all times. We gave the customer a flat cost with no profit on some items such as plants, grading labor, etc. We were paid in full.
Worked w/ Nile Wilson. Great communication, and very genuine as well. Had an old asphalt driveway completely demo'd and replaced with concrete. He talked me through the process thoroughly and then, most importantly, did what he said he was going to do. End product looked great. Highly recommend working with them.
