My wife and I moved into a new townhome in September of 2022 and needed a room expansion, taking a 6x8 foot space to 10x8, which would be converted into a small office. Matt and the team were AMAZING! They gave great recommendations and feedback and worked efficiently. What I appreciated most, and what is a testimony to who they are, is that upon completion, there were a few things that didn't come together as I had hoped. No problem. Matt and the team quickly jumped in and made adjustments. The project was a huge success, and I will definitely call them on my next project.

We hired Somerset West to remodel our kitchen. We made the right choice. To keep costs down but without skimping on quality and style, we went with Ikea kitchen cabinet boxes with cabinet fronts by Semihandmade. As such, it was critical to find a contractor who had a lot of experience with this type of project. Matt came out for an initial consultation and provided a proposed design plus a written estimate and project timeline. We were impressed by his thoroughness and knowledge across all aspects of the project. Matt, Edan, and the Somerset West team handled the entire kitchen design. They completed the selection and ordering of the Ikea and Semihandmade parts needed. This is no easy feat if youâ ve never done this before since you can easily forget to purchase needed items. Once all the materials were purchased and delivered, Matt and team went to work immediately. Somerset West managed all stages of the project from demolition, plumbing, electricity, flooring, countertop installation, cabinet assembly and carpentry, and painting. We found the entire team to be professional and skilled. Communication with Matt and the team was excellent. Matt kept us updated on the schedule, let us know if we needed to purchase anything for the next phase, and informed us of any change orders. There were unforeseen additional costs once the walls were opened with the wiring needing to be replaced, but not because of poor planning by Somerset West. Matt went above and beyond by providing good recommendations for tile vendors, suggesting features to uplevel the look of the kitchen without pressure, and handling the ordering and pick up of Ikea parts that werenâ t readily available. He even picked up a microwave to replace our broken one when we couldnâ t do it ourselves. Our kitchen is worlds better than it was and the Somerset West team is to thank for a relatively smooth process. We highly recommend Matt, Edan, and the rest of the Somerset West team for their home remodeling services.

Matt and his team built my dream house! The whole experience has been wonderful. This is my first home and first remodel, I was completely clueless and nervous about the whole process. Matt was really great about explaining everything to me, in detail :), always making sure I was comfortable and confident in the millions of decisions that had to be made. Matt also communicates, a lot. So you will always know where things stand. He also has a great eye and a keen sense of what the customer wants and what is practical. My advice, is to listen to Matt, he is usually right :) Jose, the electrician, is amazing, and everyone else that worked on the house has always been so kind and respectful. Overall I could not be happier with the partnership and the end product is exactly what I wanted. I would use Somerset West again, no question.

Somerset remodeled our small bathroom, and it looks amazing! They take pride in every aspect of the work and it shows. They were very reliable and kept to the schedule, showed up when they said they would and finished on time. Highly recommend!

Matt is a great asset. Somerset work does high quality and expert work. The process was tough, but the end result was worth it. Matt really cares about the quality of the work and ensuring that things turn out well for the client. He goes the extra mile to make the project a success. The attention to detail is also important to note, as SW didn't not cut corners. Matt is also very pleasant to deal with. I re-did a kitchen, hardwood floor and lighting.

We had water damage from a kitchen sink leak that ruined our floors in the kitchen and dining room. Unfortunately, the floors have been discontinued so we had to decide on another replacement option. We called Somerset after receiving a referral from 2 of my co-workers who used them for their full home remodel. Our PM was Matan and he was very responsive throughout the whole process. He was also helpful when it came to design decisions for the floor replacement (he has a good eye!). He was never pushy but we trusted his opinion since he does this everyday. No matter the request, he was on top of it with a solution or an answer. It is hard to find contractors who are honest and reasonable so I will definitely work with Somerset again for any other remodeling I may need to do.

We used them to finish our basement, rewire our electrical, and install new cabinets and built-ins. Matt and the crew were extremely professional, communicative, and honest. They made sure we were satisfied each step of the way. Would definitely use again and recommend to anyone. These guys can get it done!

It was our first experience working with a contractor to remodel our entire house and Somerset West Company made it a great and easy one by walking us thru this stressful challenge with good guidance and patience. Here is how most contracted home renovations wrap up: you, the homeowner, are sick as hell of dealing with the contractor. No matter how fine their work may be, you just want it to be finished and to never deal with them again. It seems like it is an unwritten rule of the work. So was not the case with Somerset West. For our kitchen renovation, they offered a fair price and got us an incredible product that my wife routinely declares her love for. The schedule was reasonable, and though struck with delays (by no fault of theirs), and additional costs (usually due to our tastes), one of their single greatest strengths were keeping our eyes on the prize. Edan was our main point of contact, and keeping us focused on the final product was a skill he excelled at, even above his formidable design, style, and business sense. No matter the delays or costs, he was there to remind us that we absolutely had to be happy with the product, and if we were not, he would help ensure we were. Likewise, Matt was the main hands-on on-site supervisor, and he was a constant presence throughout the project. There were few decisions during construction that Matt was not a part of crafting and no issues where he could not present a solution. Together they kept the lines of communication open and clear, routinely checked in with us on progress, timeline, and budget, and ultimately they and their crew delivered a quality product I am compelled to show off to everyone who walks in the door. So if in the case of most renovations, the norm is the strong desire to run as far from your contractor and as fast as you can, I can offer only one summation: I cannot wait to hire Somerset West for our next project.
