Straight Up! Plumbing is a local veteran owned company started in 2014 by Mark & Jerilyn Treglia. I am a veteran of the United States Navy where I served for 22 years. While in the service, I earned certifications in pipe fitting, welding, metal fabricating, and continued my education and experience in plumbing and water treatment. I later pursued my degree in Business Administration and practiced as a business consultant where I successfully saved a non-profit organization from bankruptcy. Shortly after I realized I missed the plumbing industry. After witnessing the negative affect the trades industry had on our degrading economy, I saw an opportunity to show our customers that honesty and integrity is most important within the plumbing industry. I decided early last spring that I wanted to practice my trade once again and Straight Up! Plumbing was born. The company sends a lot of automated texts which is nice to be able to keep track and know when to expect their arrival. The plumber arrived on time and did a nice job, including some additional wood removal and replacement from the previous leaking water heater. The reason they weren't scored more highly is because of what happened after. About 2 hours after the plumber had left, one of the soldered lines started spewing water. I called the company immediately (4:39 on Friday), only to be met with a message stating they are closed at 4:30. They did not list an emergency number. Luckily, the receptionist/scheduler had sent me a text message from her personal phone (I assume, her first question was asking how I got her number), so I was able to reach her "after-hours" and she was able to contact the plumber who returned and repaired the situation. I understand accidents happen and I was pleased with the quick fix response, but if I didn't accidentally have the private number I would have been left with either no water for the weekend or would have had to pay ANOTHER plumbing company to come fix the mistake. I would recommend they list an emergency number or contract with another plumbing company with more reasonable hours to cover after-hours emergency situations. That being said, I would probably use them for other projects in the future.

I wish we had more control over the quality of the parts and consumables we use. We always try to purchase the best made in USA parts we can, but sometimes inferior parts happen. Where I do think we made a huge mistake was not leaving an emergency number with you. Our technicians are trained to leave a card with an emergency number on it and it looks like we failed at doing that. I can assure you I will address this immediately. I am confused over why you felt the value was only a 3.5. We give upfront pricing so I would think this would be discussed at the onset of the call. I would be very interested in your insight concerning this. Again, I apologize for the minor issue and I'm glad we were able to take care of it right away. It sounds like you were more upset at what "could have" happened instead of what did. I certainly don't blame you. Thank you, MT

Service from this company was excellent. Appointment was verified and I was notified before arrival which was on time. Employee was clean and polite and explained the service he implemented. I will call this company for any further plumbing problems and tell my friends how pleased I was about the service.

Great service from start to finish! Was contacted shortly after being paired up with them via HomeAdvisor. They were able to come out to replace our water heater immediately. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly and did the job quickly. Pricing was average and the water heater is high quality brand. New water heater is working great and am so happy they could fit us in their schedule so quickly. Amazing!
