Never give any service provider large sums of money in advance.

We've been hiring Sunstate Constructors for 9 years now - they have done approximately 8 different projects for us, including screen enclosure, windows, doors, garage cabinets, kitchen cabinets, structural work, office remodeling and laundry remodeling. They are excellent!!! We are always so amazed at the quality of work being done in a timely fashion.l They are honest, professional, extremely qualified and have turned our home into a palace. We recommend them highly for any and all work around your home. Their cost is fair and they handle themselves with integrity. Excellent company. We use no one else. Larry and Elaine L

What a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience!!! This job commenced on April 12th when I paid him a $5k deposit and it is still not done!!! It was a basic, easy job for any experienced aluminum, Fl Rm builder. It is now Sept 22nd and I still have an unfinished product. This job should have taken a week to 10 days at the VERY most if the job was organized and planned properly. Communication was, has been and still is a complete disaster. I simply cannot count how many messages and phone calls went un-returned and the lack of the level of respect and care for the customer has been non-existent. There have been multiple and I mean MULTIPLE days where the job was supposed to take place and they never showed and never called. There have been weeks that have gone by without a returned phone call or text and I am being very serious when I say that NEVER once have I received an unitiated phone call from Mark (owner) simply letting me know and updating me on the job! NEVER once!!! Mark is a nice guy, but he simply and obviously does not have the respect of the customer. I still have never received an apology!!! I just received my windows and they look like crap! I have missing screens, vent caps missing, marked up aluminum and a trapezoid window that is so poorly measured and ordered that the installer rigged it so it would look like it fit! The installer measured for the windows and I was told two to three weeks (this after he received his window draw). I was promised they would get ordered in two days on the following Monday. The windows supposedly got ordered a week late and got a call on week 3 that they were getting ready to go into production, but to check the measurements that the traps appeared off. Well they were, I measured for him and texted him the correct measurements. He (Mark) came by to measure himself and the windows now installed 3 weeks late and they look like crap and again, the one trap is horribly off and barely fits the opening. Clearly he did not measure correctly and or use my measurement. Also regarding the traps, both of them stick out about two inched past the aluminum framing on the outside and clearly were ordered wrong! They look like dog crap!!!I wish to god it stopped here, but before this I had a roof leak and Mark told me that he never guaranteed me that the room would not leak! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!? I guess he thought this interior FL RM was built with the intention to experience the rain. He took forever to even consider addressing it, said he met with a couple of roofers that would not touch it and that his engineering guy confirmed that it was not leak proof. This was a BASIC repair that the least experienced roofer on the planet could do so I fixed it myself! I even told him how to fix it and he still ignored me and if I again had not fixed it myself, it would still be leaking now 8 - 10 weeks later with soaked furniture and a completely un-useable room! I interviewed 4 other build
