Texas Best Stain

For about a month my wife and I searched out someone to build our new fence. We needed a replacement in a bad way and typically we'd just do it ourselves but this time we needed to contract someone. After having four other options come to give a bid we had Alex Howe from Texas Best Stain come out. He was very personable, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely seemed to want to help get us to where we needed to be. Once we got the quote and had a chance to reconnect to hone it to our needs and budget they got right to work. Ruth Montgomery, the Operations Manager, got the crew out incredibly quickly. We were shocked with how fast the "call before you dig" happened, then once that was done the actual demo and construction crew. After that when the details needed to be readdressed they were right on it When the crew arrived to start the project they were extremely respectful and professional. They answered every question I had about the process and heard me out on all my concerns. Everything was addressed in a timely manner and the workmanship was spot on. Every job will have a challenge or a go back and this one was no exception. They dealt with these challenges ang go backs with purpose and all were addressed to our satisfaction. We are confident we got a high quality product from trustworthy and reliable people. We've had some issues with past contractors but not here, I've already referred a handful of friends to seek out a bid for their fencing needs and I'm now doing the same with you!

We had our deck and patio cover stained yesterday, wow, what a difference. There was severe hail damage to the upper deck and rails, but the lower patio cover just need fresh stain. It looks beautiful, the Tx Stain crew, Juan Cornado & Erin Fassett did a great job on a hot, humid day with a bit of drizzle and no breeze. They were a pleasure to work with as was the entire staff at Texas Best Stain. Thanks to Kris Williamson, Sales Manager, for making this project run so smooth & easy! This outfit fully surveyed and quoted my fence stain job but left out a sizable portion of my fence from their proposal. The pricing seemed good so I engaged them. The work was OK. Several missed spots. Then I discovered they did not clean or stain a rather large part of my fence. When I brought it to their attention, they blamed it on me for not properly reviewing their proposal. They charged me an additional 18% to finish the job. When they finished the missed part of the fence, it turns out they had also stained a joining segment of my neighbors; fence, along with a couple of inches of my neighbors house bricks running all the way along the 10-foot vertical length where the neighbors fence met their house. (At least they did not slop over onto my bricks where my fence met my house). So in summary, misleading proposal and sloppy work. I will not use this outfit next time.

The experience was perfect. The team was on time for the proposal, understood our needs and worked with us to deliver the right solution. The pergola exceeded our expectations.

High winds damaged the fence on both sides of our yard. Texas Best Stain replaced one side with 7' board on board and used heavier metal posts to secure. The other side was only a year old board on board with metal posts in concrete, and the high winds bent the posts and laid the fence down on the ground. They repaired that fence by installing new heavier gauge metal posts, deeper in concrete, and repaired some of the damaged wood. They power washed the existing back fence, then stained all to match. Beautiful results! Rocky and his team are prompt, excellent cleanup and haul away, reasonable price (even gave us a senior discount), and great to work with. Highly recommend them.

Rocky and his crew truly care about their customers. It was very refreshing to have that level of attention to our project. We had them install a new fence on one side of the property, install new gates, install a section of wrought iron, and stain the existing and new wood fence. It was a big project. They did a fantastic job and completed everything quickly, cleanly, and professionally. I would HIGHLY recommend Texas Best Stain for any fence/deck/outdoor needs.
