I have no complaints about the actual lawn service. The guys who maintain our grass do a wonderful job! Administration, on the other hand, is awful! My husband paid our bill for their service on July 6th. A week later, we got a call saying we were past due. Upon speaking to Sarah, I explained that we had already paid the bill. She investigated and found that we had in fact paid it. The next day, my husband's account was charged a second time for service that we'd already paid for! We called Sarah again and emailed her a screen shot of our account that shows that we had been double billed. We were then promised a reimbursement for the extra $125 that was withdrawn, but we were never reimbursed. After trying numerous times to call Sarah back, she stopped answering the phone! Today my husband and I woke up to find that $125 had been withdrawn from our account a THIRD time! This is VERY unacceptable, and although the company does a great job service wise, it makes them look very bad! If you hire The Guy for service, be sure to mail them a money order via certified mail for proof that they received your payment. Don't give them your card information unless you want money being taken out of your account every couple of days!
Response by The Guy: Oh my gosh! I'm so bummed I let these two down! They are great customers to deal with, and I truly did not mean to drop the ball! I do collections once a week, upon my call on the 6th Mr.H placed a card on file to resolve his balance. Upon going through records the following week, there was still a balance on the account. Thinking I had forgotten to run it through for them the week before, I processed the card. When Mrs. H called to explain both payments had been withdrawn, I was very apologetic and issued a refund to their visa card IMMEDIATELY!! Unfortunately it does take several days for the refund to be processed back onto the card (usually 3-5 business days) Unfortunately, Mrs. H called on Friday which is causing a delay in the refund and also caused a delay in being able to contact us. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, so we are not available over the weekend to answer their call. However, we do have 3 phone numbers and an email address listed for our customers to contact us and communication is our top priority. If a phone is not answered, it is because we are not in the office or are on another line helping another customer. We check our voicemail first thing each morning and throughout the day each work day. These two customers are very polite and I love dealing with them! I'd be happy to take their call any time. I'm sorry for dropping the ball on recording the first payment an thus double charging their card. The third transaction was a visa REFUND and NOT a WITHDRAWAL. I am confident this matter will be resolved and they will experience no other issues with our office! This is a very rare and easily resolved error.

I'm still on the fence so far. The guys that have cut my lawn a few times don't seem to know how to trim after I've brought this to their attention a few times. I don't like going through the process of finding someone else , but when I don't get a response after a week, that's just unprofessional.
Response by The Guy: After receiving complaint about the trimming at this property we responded immediately to let this customer know we would correct their concerns upon their next service. This account has biweekly service, so they were already aware there would be a week before we would return.

This is the second year that I have The Guy to do my lawn. The first year they were always reliable on did a decent job. Unfortunately, I have neighbors that are retired and content on making my life miserable if I don't adhear 100% of their expectations of what my lawn should look like. This being said in the start of the year I told the company that I wanted a weekly cut, they were apparently confused and missed a week. It's spring, so my grass has grown like weeds, over 12 inches in length in some spots for sure. So I called on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with the constant promise that they would be out that day or the next. It's Friday now and I still haven't seen them, and now I can't go outside because my neighbors are harassing me about my lawn and have called the city on me. Which they could because my lawn was not to code, it was completely embarassing. I have been upset and the poor customer service has upset me even more. Wanted to like this company, but because of there lack of reliability it has made my life miserable. Disappointing.
Response by The Guy: This customer included a photo in their complaint, and it is true they received a patchy cut. However, we fired the technician that performed the service and we discounted their cut price by half, meaning she only paid $15.00 for the service she was unhappy with. We feel that letting our service technician go and discounting the service by half the price was a fair customer service response. It is true it took us several days to get back to her in our route, but this was explained when we received her complaint. We are trusted to service hundreds of accounts, it sometimes takes a few days to route back. We are also dealing with spring rain storms pushing our route around and trying to make sure everyone gets quality service in a timely manner. She admits in her review that her neighbors are retired and content on making her life miserable if she doesn't adhere to their expectations. I don't think it's fair we are given a bad review because this customers neighbors are unreasonable.

Very little experience dealing with the business. Property maintained is not my residence so only view it few times a month. The neighbors' responses have been very positive to the maitenance and schedule.
