Project: Repair Drywall
Carlos promised to submit an insurance claim for items he broke or damaged while doing repairs which were in a room he wasn't working in. He never did. Didn't properly protect our furniture and personal items. Several of the items are antiques, were gifts, and are irreplaceable. Where's the integrity? The dry wall and paint job is sloppy, spotty, and mismatched. Once the initial project started, he upsold to do additional work. We soon learned he's incapable of the work he bid. On a joint shopping trip to Home Depot to purchase materials, his lack of experience showed when dealing with the associates. He wasn't aware of and didn't qualify for their contractors discount. You'll be disappointed. He can only handle very simple handyman repairs. Does a poor job of cleaning up. We were overcharged for what was done, and fired him before the project was completed.
Response by The Doctor House: I give this guy an estimate and every day he want more work in others words he wants work for free this kind of people think because they hire to do some work we have to kiss his foot, at the first he wants some bathroom repairs after that he wants to pay the same for the entire bathroom remodeling, i did more work than I was in my original estimate, people that I know me they know that Im very honest a reliable.

Project: Hire a Handyman
I'm so glad I found Carlos. I had two pretty ordinary jobs for him and one unconventional job, and all were done to perfection. I needed a door to the basement installed in a house I had just purchased. The opening was not perfectly square; I don't know if this was due to the workmanship of the previous contractor or the age of the house, but Carlos took the door up and down several times and adjusted it with his saw until it fit perfectly. The second job was to install a pet door in an inside closet for my cats' litter box. Pretty standard stuff; got it done quickly. The unconventional job was to build a "catio" on my back deck. I moved from an area where my cats could play outside to a house where they couldn't, so I wanted to build an enclosure where they could go outside for fresh air yet not leave the yard. I went online and found pictures of what I wanted and met with Carlos for an estimate. It came out just as I had envisioned it. He does quality carpentry work; the catio is solid, stable, and aesthetically pleasing. Carlos is my new "go to" guy for home projects.

Mr. Camayo was extremely courteous and professional. He made several home repairs for our home due to a home inspection report. He tackled all the items on the list expeditiously. We would hire him again.

Project: Hire a Handyman
Got the job done. Outside work was amazing. Indoor work was a sloppy and not the best cosmetically. Time management and organization was an issue. He was constantly going to Home Depot and didn't plan do do certain step before others so things good be drying. This job took a day longer then it needed to.
Response by The Doctor House: anything is magic, and you have to do what you have to do in order to get the job done propertly.
