How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because So, why roofing and construction for us? Well, it's pretty much in my blood! My grandfather and father both built their lives in this business, so I guess you could say it's a family tradition. I grew up around it, and honestly, I just love it. One of the coolest parts about this job is getting to be all over the Metroplex, meeting new folks every day. It's awesome to connect with people and help them out with their homes. And hey, having a "moving office" is pretty sweet – it means I can be wherever you need me, whenever you need me! My past experience working with insurance claims also comes in super handy. It means I can really help you navigate that whole process, making things a lot smoother. Plus, we're always keeping up with the latest products and techniques out there, so you're getting the best stuff for your home. It's more than just a job for me; it's about continuing a legacy, helping our neighbors, and making sure you get a really solid roof and a great experience..

I bought a new house and wanted a roof inspection. It's a two story house with a steep pitch but Besst Roofing and Construction utilized drone technology to provide an accurate assessment in a safe manner.

Inspect, Analyze or Certify the Condition of a Roof

I Utilized Besst Roofing and Construction services following weather related damage at my rental property in North Dallas In addition to doing a great deal of the work himself, he hired and coordinated the work of numerous contractor's related to plumbing, painting, hardwood and carpet replacement. It refreshing to find someone today who is responsive (always answered my calls), resourceful (made arrangements with sub-contractors and followed up on their performance) and kept my wife and me informed. He did such a good job, we are going to continue to utilize him rather than contract with a leasing management company.

Install or Replace an Asphalt Shingle Roof

I had a great experience with Besst Roofing & Construction. Ben came out after I found some shingles in my yard and quickly identified the issue on my roof. He was fast, professional, and clearly knew exactly what needed to be done. It’s hard to find people who work efficiently and honestly, but Ben definitely delivered. I’ll be calling him again for any future roofing repairs—and even for other home construction projects since they handle that too. Highly recommend!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
