Job went well. They stayed within the estimated price. Completed the job on time and the employees were professional. I expected them to still be in business, I called the other day (9-14-17) and to my dismay they no longer do HVAC but instead are focusing on their plumbing side of the business.

<p>My father's heat was off for 10 days in December in Wyoming!</p> <p><br></p> <p>I have used Casper Tin Shop for all my Heating and A/C work for years. They have installed a number of units for me both commercial and residential. I have always been very please with their work.  Recently, CK Mechanical purchased Casper Tin Shop.</p> <p><br></p> <p>I called CK Mechanical when my father's heating unit quit working. It was a Saturday, but they came over and looked at the unit and said the blower motor was out and that they would have to order one on Monday.  The motor finally came on Friday and they came over late in the afternoon to install.  In the process, they pulled apart the flu in the attic and said they would have to come back Monday to fix.</p> <p>1) Obviously CK does not stock many parts. This furnace is far from new, but it isn't really old either</p> <p>2) When I suggested they look for a motor locally with someone else or even at Grainger they basically told me they only order from their supplier.  Not sure why it took 5 days to get the part here. That's enough time to get a part from Germany!</p> <p>3) For the repair, they said "we will work you in". Not sure what that meant but I took it to mean they value plumbing or commercial customers more</p> <p>Bottom line - find another provider for your Heating and A/C needs</p>

Initially we were going to go with an alternate company that had better price on the unit, until we spoke to sales rep for CK. He was prompt, knowledgeable and he gave us informational booklets that we could keep to review. He returned our calls in a timely manner if we had additional questions, <strong>without hesitation</strong>. (not all of the companies did this) We also appreciated that although he showed enthusiasm to gain our business...he was not pushy (big plus as I DO NOT like pushy sales people) He did follow up with us prior to us making the decision, but again, it did not come off pushy. <br /> <br />Getting the unit installed was a great experience as well!! Jon & Jed were our techs, and even though Jon was training the other tech , they stayed on schedule. They cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful of our home. Upon completion, Jon gave us a run down of all they did & showed us how to use and maintain our unit. He was great! I am very pleased!!! <br />

I had a water heater installed yesterday and I'm incredibly happy with the service. The quote was not the highest or lowest, but the professional level of service I received was worth the extra. Lowest bids are not always a great idea. I was charged exactly what my estimate stated and I'm happy that they do not charge an hourly rate, rather a per job rate. Things were very cut and dry and up front. I also got their friends and family plan that gave me 25% off up front (though this only brought the price down to what others were quoting. I feel like this was more of a marketing move to give me services later on. I respect the business savvy of the move, but feel it's a bit shifty - hence the one star off). <br /> Pros: Fast and friendly. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and took great care to treat me like a human and my house like their own. The technician who installed it (Sean) seemed knowledgeable and welcomed my questions. I like that the family plan helps to cover all services and includes inspections later on (as we may need it for selling the house). The 25% discount will be welcome as well should we need other work later on. <br /> Cons: Not the least expensive, but I wasn't really shooting for cheap, I wanted dependable. The family plan seems like a good idea up front, but it felt like it was necessary to get in order to get the real price of a water heater install. <br /> <br />
