Your Solution To Indoor Pollution

Many Are Living In Toxic Homes And Don't Even Know It. The EPA informs us that 6 out of 10 homes and buildings are "sick", meaning they are hazardous to your health to occupy as a result of airborne pollutants. Fungi are the cause of many outbreaks of disease, but mostly ignored. Fungi can cause a number of life threatening diseases & many people, scientists among them are largely unaware. According to Scientific America, a baby crawling on the floor inhales the equivalent of 4 cigarettes a day, as a result of the outgassing of carpets, molds, mildews, fungi, dust mites, etc. 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will get cancer in their lifetime, 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys are identified with autism spectrum disorder in the US, and that Alzheimers is up 500% in the past 20 years. One study linked 50% of all health problem to our indoor environment.

Business Overview

How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because it gives me the opportunity to positvily effect the health of families all across the United States. For the past two decades I have concentrated on effectively diagnosing and permanently solving moisture intrusion, mold problems and indoor air quality issues. What this means to you is that as your specialists with concentrated experience I have probably solved your problem dozens of times before. I tests for indoor air pollution. For the presence of harmful airborne chemicals and hidden mold, to help you identify their sources so you can do something about them. It is the most advance Indoor Air Quality Test for a home to find harmful VOCs, Mold, Formaldehyde and more that may be lurking In the air you breath. Plus we test for the Asthma & Allergy Trigger Dust Mites..

We started in this industry in 1994.

We describe our business as Family owned and operated

House Doctor Pomales is a professional through and through. He was accommodating and thorough, and never once did I feel like he was trying to sell me on anything. I found him to be trustworthy and conscientious, with a genuine concern for his client's well-being and health. With his help, my wife and I were finally able to find some answers to our air quality issues. Much praise for the House Doctor!

Review by Jason T. in Pickerington, OH
He charged me $400 to do the mold sample. Then he came back with a folder containing horrible pictures of people who were affected by mold. He proceeded to tell me stories about how children affected by mold become angry, mean and writing words backwards. He showed me a picture a child had drawn that was pretty, a nice out door setting. He then showed me a explicit picture after the child was exposed to mold. They took the mold away and the picture became beautiful and calm again, total scare tactics. He also did not tell me that he would not test after the remediation and that it would cost another $400, to test again after remediation. Snake oil sales man in my opinion.
Response by House Doctor Pomales: This review is Jason 2nd review because the first one was so off base and full of lies that HomeAdvisor pulled it so he rewrote it. I feel that he had more of a problem with me being a Hispanic male then my professionalism. On Thanksgiving Day Jason called HomeAdvisor wanting specific areas of his Basement/Crawlspace tested for Mold. After speaking with him on the phone he told me he wanted the Air in the Basement tested and he also wanted a radon PVC surface tested that was covered with a dark substance. He was desperate to have me out ASAP. I set an appointment the next day, mind you, it was a holiday weekend that I took off. Not only did he have the time I was going to be there but also the cost of $300 for 3 samples ($100 per sample). Once at the home I found mold growing on the Floor Joist after I ATP tested the surface at NO Charge. He wanted me to take an additional sample of it to be sent to the Lab. The made the total cost of my service $400. Not only did I do Mold test for him but I also tested the number of Particles in the air as well as check his VOC levels and Formaldehyde. at no additional charge. So as to customer service, he received 5 Star service: Returned his call the same (Thanksgiving day) 11/23/17 Set up an appointment to come out the following day 11/24/17 (Holiday Weekend) and Inspected HIS area of concern and took Mold samples He received results the next business day(Monday 11/27/17). Almost unheard of in my industry without an extra charge. Once he received his results he requested I come out the following day to discuss NOT ONLY Mold clean up options but Indoor Air Quality options due to the high particle count on 11/28/17 He not only wanted me to come out to discuss Option to improve his air quality he wanted me to come out and clean the Mold. After he received all he paid for I came out the following day at no charge to discuss options with him. I told him if I was to clean the Mold how much I would charge. I also told him I can tell him how to clean the Mold himself if he wanted to do that. I came over and discuss ways to improve his air quality in general which was a big concern for him. I have been with HomeAdvisor for 10 years and have never had anyone say I tried to scare them. He was already scared before I even came out based on our phone conversation. This fact was obvious due to the fact he wanted me to come out the next day to clean even before agreeing on a price or procedure. We discuss different types of Air purification systems that he asked about such as an ERV and HRV. Like I have done thousands of time before, I discuss reported health effect of Indoor Air Pollution. Everything I discuss is well documented by 3rd party resources. Such as the EPA, The American Lung Association and more. What Jason was referring to comes out of New York Time bestseller, Dr. Doris Rapp?s Book titled ?Is This Your Child?. Her studies show that a Mold allergy may cause Hyperactivity i

He was very friendly, but for 350.00 dollars, well in my opinion, that is to high!!
Response by House Doctor Pomales: Sorry, you felt the price was too high which I find kind of strange since you knew what the price was before I even came out. Most people find I am a good deal especially with what is included and I have over 20 years of experience. I feel you are basing your opinion on the fact that the test did not show you had Elevated levels of Mold in the house. The test shows NO MOLD PROBLEM. There are Mold guys out there that will tell you have a problem when you don't. How Much Does It Cost To Test For Mold & Toxic Material? (According to Home Advisor Website) Columbus, OH Average $760 Typical Range $231 - $1333 High End $4532- Here is what is included in my Mold testing service: Mold Air Sampling (Inside/Outside) with Next day Lab Mold Report ATP Mold/Bacteria Surface Testing (Infections & More) Hazardous Chemical Gasses/VOC Test (Can damage Body, Brains & Hormones) Formaldehyde (Cancer-Causing) Electronic Air Quality Test for Hazardous Small Particles (Effects Lungs & Cardiovascular System) Airborne Skin Cells (Dust Mite Population Enhancer) Carbon Dioxide test (Fatigue, Headaches) Humidity, Moisture, and room Temperature test (Mold/Bacteria growth) Explanation of: Results, Possible Causes & Solutions

Response by House Doctor Pomales: "I would be glad to share our pleasure in having met Tony Pomales regarding our concerns about the air quality in our home. It is immediately evident that Tony has a wealth of knowledge in his field. He has earned an excellent reputation, not just in the Columbus area but nationwide. He very thoroughly performs his testing procedures with his cutting edge equipment and once those tests are evaluated and results are in from the lab , the customer will sooner, rather than later, get the results. Tony presented the results, answered any questions we had and offered a variety of solutions. We would highly recommend Tony Pomales if there are concerns regarding toxic air quality in the business place or home." Susan T (She sent me this review on 12/5/17)
