Jaime's Painting & Remodeling

We hired Jaime to paint the inside of our house. We paid him over $14,000.00 and we signed a contract for him to paint portions of the house. He did not paint the closets, trim, baseboards, behind the toilets, or ceilings. Then he told me to look at the contract which said he only “paints walls” even though he told us he would paint everything. We were very upset and it was a complete bait and switch. When he said he would paint the entire room, what he meant was "paint walls" and nothing else. Then he told us he would use oil based paint but he used latex paint instead. We have oil based paint on the house before and he just put the latex paint over the old oil paint. So now the latex paint is starting to peel off the walls. He then told us that we should wait two months before touching the walls. He gave us a five-year warranty but is refusing to come out and fix anything. We called Sherwin Williams and they told us step by step what he did wrong. He should have sanded off the old paint and then used a primer to put on the new latex. He then told us that he was sold the wrong paint and he would come back with the right paint but without sanders or primer. Then he said he wouldn’t guarantee the work. I told him to go get his sander so he left and never came back. Poor workmanship with the quality of the painting and provider refused to return to do the work.

He painted the inside and outside of the house. He knocked down a ceiling which was terrible. The quality of the work was very poor. There was very little prep work and we were not satisfied. There were also broken windows as well.

Jaime was recommended to me and when I called, he set a time to meet that same day.  We walked the entire house and he put together a bid on the spot.  I gave him a deposit for the work and he called the following day with a start schedule for the work.  This was a busy summer with rain causing delays but Jaime started within a week of the original date.  Work progressed at a steady rate and was completed as planned.  I would have no hesitation suggesting Jaime for painting or building a new deck. <br />

He always showed up promptly, kept his pricing, and did not try to add anything to it. He went back and fixed a few small items that needed touched up. Overall, I was extremely pleased with his quality and responsiveness to taking care of the minor touch ups, after he had already been paid. The quality of workmanship was very good. <br />

Jaime came highly recommended by my sister-in-law who used him for painting all the exterior of her house and for a small interior job. She was very pleased with his work. <br /> I, too, was very pleased with Jaime's. He was very efficient and made an effort to fit me into his scheduled despite his heavy workload. His prices are extremely good for the quality of work he provides. <br /> I also find Jaime to be very trustworthy - I felt comfortable with him being in our house when our children were there with me. He was on time and cleaned up everything. <br /> Because Jaime fit me in to his schedule, he had to work later into the evening to finish the job for me. The lighting in our bedroom is pretty poor. The next day, I found a few spots they had missed or needed to correct. Jaime and his team did an excellent job. They are very detail oriented and caulked everything heavily and thoroughly. They pointed out issues that they saw and addressed them appropriately. They took down outside light fixtures and painted under them instead of just going around them, that was nice. The job took 3 days and they were here first thing in the morning and worked until early evening. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to walk around the house with me looking for issues or concerns. A couple minor little things were noted and they fixed them immediately. Overall I was very pleased. The price was not the cheapest and was not the most expensive, but from my experiences you definitely get what you pay for with a painter and I am happy with the value I got.

They painted the entire house with the materials, I had purchased earlier itself. He completed the job according to my desire and the price was good. They were punctual for the job. The painter was friendly, but, there were some language barriers. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I liked his services and will use the same in future.
