<p>Because of my personal schedule the roofing was done in the spring and the siding postponed to September.</p> <p>The roofing was done efficiently and capably with an unfortunate extra cost above the contract because of the poor condition of the roof surface. A new layer of wood was required and was provided at cost.</p> <p>The  siding took longer than the roof but the result is wonderful. I had done research about possible siding and materials and had decided that Hardie Fiber Cement (fireproof with color through the entire thickness) was what I wanted and MJT was the closest provider of that kind of siding.</p> <p>The workmanship was excellent and I am very satisfied with the result although I was occasionally annoyed by items left on the lawn for what I considered to be too long thus potentially damaging the lawn. There was no need for my concern and there was no lawn damage.</p> <p>I also had negative conversations with the company accountant because of our different interpretations of the two contracts that I had signed. Once I insisted that I would only talk to the original salesman or the office staff, all went smoothly.</p> <p>My adult son insisted on checking every inch of the installation and approved both the installation and the cleanup.</p> <p>My newly red house has received many compliments from friends and neighbors.</p> <p><br /> </p>

He has not completed his project.  He has not been responsive to phone calls, certified letters and one of his contractor's put a mechanic's lien on my house due to workers not getting paid.

Work was accomplished on time and is of high quality.  Only possible shortcoming which did not effect the work was the salesman who initially worked on the project was let go by MJT prior to the work being accomplished.  He was let go for lack of professionalismj. <br />

Very good communication about when they would be coming, especially since there were delays due to weather. Recurring problems with shutter order that were corrected but a little annoying. Great work, gave the house a whole new look. Having a long warranty and a strong company that stands by their work is a plus! <br />

Louie showed up at my office (a convenience for me) to discuss the estimate and show me roofing samples.  He did the job within a couple weeks and left the yard absolutely clean.   <br /> I was going to put in leaf guards myself, but Louie pointed out that my roof guards would rust.  He had aluminum guards which he put in for a very reasonable price, after blowing out the leaves. <br /> The roofline was very straight.  Great job. <br /> I suggested MJT to a couple friends <br />

Overall, service was excellent.  A few minor issues but they were quickly resolved. <br /> I would recommend them <br />

They were professional and the quality of their product was good.  Their warranty was the best part.  They were quick and very clean.  We couldn’t tell they were there after the job was done.  Several months later, during the rains, there was a whole lot of water on my roof around the sewer vents.  The company was very honest and put in tar or something on there to fix it.  They said that it should last a decade.  They said that it may not be a perfect fix.  Other than that everything went fine.  They said that if it happened again, they would come out, tear the roof and redo it again.

After the initial phone conversations with Anthoney and some back and forth phone tag we finally settles on a date to sign the papers for the work to be performed. Anthoney is the most professional and courteous person and made the process of setting up the work a breeze. Equally professional and courteous is Joe the job foreman. As I was not at the house during the work, Joe kept me up to date on all the work being done by phone. This was greatly appreciated as this was the first major repair that we have had to do on the house since owning it. Clean up on the site was very good and afterwards you could not tell the crew had been there (except a new roof and gutters were sparkling in the sun). I would recommend MJT Enterprises to anyone who asked. <br />

roof) and Overall, the work went well, from the salesperson who was very knowledgeable in the product and the service to be provided.  He responded to all questions with honesty. <br /> We had a death in the family and made a call to see if we could postpone the work by a day since we would be out of state.  The request went to a person who did not convey the message.  This was right during Thanksgiving weekend, so there was the possibility of messages not arriving. <br /> MJT did call me on my cell and they began the work in our absence.  We approved this approach.  They did an excellent job. <br /> Gutters came promptly within a week. <br /> All work was performed in a day (1 day for roof and 1 day for gutters).  Workman were clean and picked up after themselves. <br /> Good work all around.  <br />

Generally good experience.  They were prompt, and the job was executed on schedule.  Relatively good clean-up, though I have found a few nails from time to time.  Left a noticeable bunch/bulge in a shingle right over the garage, in very plain sight.  I pointed this out, and was told it would relax on its own in short order.  Later called back to say it hadn't, and never received any follow-up.  I don't regard it as a huge issue, or I would have kept after them.  Last year, we had water damage above the eves, where I thought they were supposed to put special underlayment to prevent the problem.  So much for guarantees.      

They did outstanding work and cleaned up neatly. I couldn't ask for any better job. They gave me a reasonable price and I would give them 10 out of 10.

The project got off to a good start.  The materials arrived when expected and work began on schedule.  The crew worked quickly, generally did good work, and cleaned up the site.  Unfortunately, the measure of a company is how they respond when things don't go as planned. <br /> While nailing the new roof in place, nails broke through the ceiling into the living roof, bedroom, and a closet.  The problem wasn't discovered until I got home one day and found holes in the ceiling in approximately 50 places.  M & J personnel acknowledged their error and agreed to pay to repair the damaged sections.  But they didn't handle just the repair and 'make it right' which I think they should have done.  Instead, we had to find someone who could repair the damage, get the estimate, and then get M & J to accept some financial responsibility. <br /> The problem was that the damaged area was a relatively small area (about 1/4 of the size) of a very large (1,000 Sq. Feet) room.  M & J's position was that they would pay to have it repaired to match as closely as possible, even though the repairs would clearly be visible. There was no way to match the old boards that had been there for who knows how long.    In the end, they credited us for less than half of what it cost to replace the entire ceiling with matching material.  <br /> Having just spend $37K on a new roof, we unexpectedly found ourselves shelling out money that we hadn't budgeted to replace an interior ceiling.  M & J covered part of the cost, but I wasn't happy having to do the legwork, or paying out-of-pocket, to get a fully repaired ceiling. <br />

MJT provided a packet of information via email in advance of the salesperson's visit.  Salesperson, Scott McGowan, was knowledgeable. Subsequent to his visit, he responded promptly to questions. When we asked for a list of homes to look at, MJT provided a good list. We looked at several roofs they had installed. <br /> The MJT crew was large and worked quickly and efficiently. The job was done in one day. When we told the foreman, Billy, that we were not 100% satisfied with the flashing on a bay window, he had it redone immediately (same day). Billy was courteous and professional. <br /> For warranty purposes, about  two and a half months after the installation, someone from GAF inspected the roof. <br /> In summary, the installation went well and we're pleased. Of course, the true test comes with time, but we think this is a quality roof. <br /> One concern: MJT's dumpster company badly scraped the asphalt of our driveway when they picked up the dumpster. The company's name had the word "Dainty" in it. (Can't recall the full name.) Since the driveway is old, this was not as big an issue as it would be for someone with a newer driveway. <br />

y Had this company do my roof, did a great job, so hired for siding.  The first day was a little stressful-guys came in ready to work, but kinda beat the house up when removing the old wooden shingles. Talked with the foreman and after that, things went really well.They were always on time, worked long hours, (actually had to tell them to go home sometimes) and kept in contact with me daily on questions they may have had.   They cleaned up the property very well every night.  The project took about 11 days-house is a cape-was done with a 2 man crew and one foreman-who was on site everyday.  Everyone worked really hard, they tried to be very accommodating, answered our questions and followed up with any problems.  They slightly ripped 2 screens-but fixed them.We (the homeowners) were on site everyday-which I'm sure, kept them on their toes.We were promised a crew of approximately 5, but ended up with 2-but this was not a problem.  Our plants were pretty much destroyed, but they did attempt to do their best to avoid them-and when we brought this to their attention-they worked hard to take care of the remaining ones.  If there was one thing we did not like, or just missed when the job was being done, was that they "buried" our phone lines and cable lines under the siding when we asked them not to do so, which was originally discussed with the sales person, but apparently not translated  to the crew. Overall, we got what we expected, we get compliments on the house daily since the work was completed.  We are pleased with the results and would  hire again if needed or recommend to others. <br /> All the crew were professional, hard workers, and took pride in their work, which was apparent.

They were excellent all the way thru from the salesperson to Joseph's crew who completed a high quality job in a day and half. Very clean, professional and everything came out great. I had gotten 5 quotes from various contractors. Their price with their warranty & the warranty from the shingle manufacturer (GAF) made their bid the most attractive from a "what you get for the value" perspective.

It is an ongoing fiasco.

They did a really good job.  They weren’t the cheapest, but they ended up doing a fantastic job.  They told us that, when doing the roof, that we should replace the skylights.  We were a little suspicious, so we looked into it.  After speaking with a few other people, we realized that they were right.  They were very good.  They cleaned up nicely, were on time, and we’re very happy with our new roof.

Company was able to meet at my home after hours and on the weekends to discuss job and quotes, which was nice to not have to take off work. <br /> <br /> The sales rep, Carl, was enthusiastic and helpful; he gave advice but not in an overbearing way.  I also got a skylight replaced as a result, something I had not considered though it was also old; I was more concerned with the loose shingles and getting the roof fixed.  Not pushy or overbearing at all.  After getting the quote for the roof, which was the last of three, I knew they were it.  The products used were not notably different and the quote was about 5K and included a skylight and minor work on the garage, which were not included in the two other quotes.  MJT and one other contractor said permits were included, the third guy wanted the home owner to get - not gonna happen. <br /> <br /> The only detractor was that the chimney work needed was not part of the scope for MJT, who had referred me to a masonry contractor that I worked with separately.  One-stop shopping would have been nice but it was clearly not a workmanship nor cost problem.  The masonry contractor's quote was about $1500K with other quotes for the chimney work being about 1K more.  The permit for the job was something I had to nail down, but it was $27.00 in my town and the contractor had no problems once I raised the issue up.  The only preference would have been to not have to raise up the permit question. <br /> <br /> Once I signed, the date of work was quickly booked and the job took two days.  The roof was covered and protected the first day and the second day the details were taken care of.  Neat worksite.  Dumpster was parked in my driveway for two days, taken the early morning of the third. <br /> <br /> I did have to get the skylight finished on the interior of the house and let them have the key for a day.  No mess or concerns with interior and good workmanship on the trim.  Did not paint the wood and left that for me.   <br /> <br /> Overall, I'm very satisfied with what I have.  <br /> <br />

Work was done quickly and on time

The job is beautiful. Everybody on the street has been coming and saying ,"who did your siding". In terms of negative, at the time that we were negotiating, we had a coupon for 18 months no interest loan for it. It was a financial disaster. They couldn't get us that financing and that took about two months until they finally got us financing with someone else for 12 months. So that didn't make me very happy. We are also still picking up nails all around the house.

From the beginning when I was seeking information and prices, MJT was the most professional and helpful. Their price was excellent which is why I decided to have them install the new replacement windows also. The installation team was excellent -- knowledgeable, punctual, professional, friendly and neat. <br /> <br /> The only frustration I had was with the management who, I believe are overwhelmed with work. At times they made me feel like I was "bothering" them. In the end, however, the job was beautifully completed and we're extremely happy with the result. <br /> <br /> I would recommend MJT without reservations and will certainly go back to them for other services.

Initial contact and estimates from the company went very well.  While estimate was not the lowest, the company representative was very knowledgable and his presentation and information packet added to the confidence we had in the company based on customer reference calls we had made. The MJT crew was on site first thing in the morning along with a dumpster to remove old materials.  Every member of the crew introduced themselves - nice touch.  New materials had been delivered the day before.  Work began immediately and old roofing materials were removed, several sheets of old rotted decking were replaced, ice & water material was used on lower slopes and edges as agreed. Reshingling was completed by the end of the first day.  Flashing was finished the following day.  Area was cleaned up and any remaining scraps of old materials were picked up and removed.  Dumpster was removed the following business day.

After getting numerous estimates I decided to go with MJT to replace my roof.  The most important thing to me when researching roofers was that I find someone that does quality work without cutting corners and gets the job right the first time.  MJT did not disappoint.  They seemed to be the most highly organized, knowledgeable, and trustworthy out of all the companies I dealt with.  MJT are true professionals. They are a "Master Elite" installer, which basically means that they are the best of the best.  Also, Master Elite installers can offer a better warranty than most.  From start to end, I was kept informed on the progress of my job.  They coordinated with me when/where materials were to be dropped off and when the work was scheduled to begin.  The installation itself went smoothly and my new roof and skylights look gorgeous!  I was impressed that they were able to do the entire job in one day!  There were a few minor issues that I didn't anticipate and Carl, the salesman, was responsive and addressed my issues immediately and satisfactorily.  Overall, I was confident in my decision when I first decided to go with MJT and they lived up to their reputation of being an excellent roofer.

We were very pleased.  Job was done on schedule over 2.5 days, with great attention to details.  Clean-up during the job and after was very meticulous.  The firm listened to our issues with the prior roof  connection between the garage and house, and came up with a very good solution for some leakage problems with the old roof.  They also helped us hook up proper venting for three different bathroom fans through the roof and added an attic fan to alleviate heat and humidity in the attic.  The salesman when out of his way to help us pick a roof color by holding large samples out a bedroom window, so it could be visible by us standing on the front lawn.
