Morgan is a super detailed inspector. He focuses a lot on examining the details of a house, making numerous suggestions on how to fix the major and minor issues. In addition, he is very patient in explaining the problems. I highly recommend Morgan as your inspector if you need a home inspection. I will definitely work with him in the future.

Morgan was so thorough and explained what he was seeing in succinct layman’s terms. His interactions with the other people on site were pleasant, professional and helpful. I’ve had a few home inspections and he was by far my favorite inspector to work with - very knowledgeable.

Morgan was prompt, friendly, and very thorough. This will be our first home and he was very patient explaining and making clear which issues were important and which were not. We received the report the next day and it was as thorough as the in-person inspection. When I called to make the appointment, the woman on the phone was also pleasant and helpful.

From easy scheduling on MKC's website through inspection report provided 30 hours later (there was a lot to cover), my wife and I had a pleasant experience with MKC Associates. Morgan was punctual and went through far more than we could have ever anticipated with a home inspection. Thorough, patient, and conversational, Morgan answered any and all questions with professionalism and courtesy. Never patronizing or hurried, Morgan couldn't come more recommended from my wife and myself.

This was the 4th home that Rob Amaral has inspected for me and I can't imagine using anyone else. Based on his reports, I have purchased 3 of the 4 homes he has inspected. While he may be a little more expensive than other inspectors, you are paying for his expertise, and it is worth every penny! My most recent purchase was an older multi-family home and because of all the issues he found I was able to negotiate $50,000 off of the sales price. While that is probably an extreme example, on the other 3 houses I was able to negotiate $5,000 off of another multi-family, feel confident in my purchase of a foreclosure condo, and walk away from another potential multi-family purchase that would have been a disaster. He's one of the few tradespeople that I feel confident recommending and I give his name to everyone I know that is purchasing a house. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and gives you the history on certain housing materials and construction techniques, giving you a better understanding of the home you are purchasing. I really cannot say enough good things about him, he's fantastic!

Doron Bracha was very thorough and took lots of pictures. He was very professional and delivered his report the very same day as the inspection, which was much appreciated. The report was excellent; it was well formatted, well written, and overall a great guide to the repairs needed for our house. We would hire him again.

MKC made the whole home inspection process extremely easy.  We needed to have an inspection in a short timeline (we were calling Thursday for the following week) and contacted MKC after reading reviews here and on Yelp.  MKC was able to accommodate this short timeline by scheduling us for the following Monday at 9:00 am. <br /> While our realtor had recommended other inspectors and MKC's price was a slightly higher than others, I was very happy we went with MKC.  We worked with Morgan, who was extremely thorough, detailed, and professional.  He was very attentive to all aspects of the house (from small items such as dishwasher positioning to larger drainage issues) and explained everything to us in detail.  He also took his time to check everything carefully, rather than rush the process, while taking thorough notes and photos.  The end result was a detailed and clear punch list report, which he prepared within 24 hours. <br />   <br /> We had planned to perform a radon test that day as well but unfortunately were unable to do so because of the amount of work still in progress on the house. We plan to have Morgan back both for the radon test and to check the results of the work on punch list items. <br />

Morgan's attention to detail, knowledge, professionalism and ability to organize and present his findings is top notch. I used a different home inspector for our current home in the midst of the housing frenzy last summer and have regretted it sorely. <br /> When our family decided it was time to take stock of what needed to be done to maintain and possibly sell a property we haven't lived in for a while, I remembered what an outstanding job Morgan did on a condo I bought some years ago in Dorchester. He arrived a bit before time and had already begun looking over the property when I arrived. He looked over the property meticulously outside, in the basement, and through all three floors, noticing things I had never seen in the years that I lived in the property but which had certainly been there. Indeed, not only is Morgan's work product a pleasure to read and extremely informative, but he's a transparent and forthcoming teacher at the site. Without losing time, he readily describes what he's looking at, why it matters, and possible next steps. <br /> The inspection report itself is the most helpful I've ever seen. He highlights the most important deficits in a separate section, describes what the issues are, and even notes types of contractors (eg mason, chimney sweep, general contractor, etc) who would address the work that needs to be done. For us the report is useful for maintaining and improving the property, but for a buyer his reports are even more valuable. For my condo, I was able to push for a number of concessions that I otherwise would have been unaware of before closing thanks to his report. More importantly, for the five years that I owned the condo I never ran into any unexpected issues -- his report had covered everything that came up. <br />

MKC Associates performed exemplary work for us that helped us move forward on our home purchase with confidence. Tom was originally set to do the inspection, but Morgan ended up covering for him, which was taken care of with a reasonably limited amount of stress on our part. We were thoroughly impressed with Morgan's work inspecting the house. He was diligent, thorough, and efficient. He helped us understand everything we needed to consider while still giving us the big picture that bolstered our confidence in the purchase. His report was very detailed and not only helped us negotiate a favorable final price, but it also provided a gameplan for the repairs and upgrades we needed/wanted to do after closing. He also helpfully provided a structural engineering reference to help with a couple of areas we wanted to examine in detail. Morgan is very personable and great to work with. We'd recommend MKC Associates to anyone in the Boston area looking to buy a home. <br />

I would highly recommend MKC Associates. Dave was our inspector and he was extremely knowledgeable, personable and professional.  He was very thorough and talked through every detail while he made his way through the house (all 3+ hours!). His report was equally as great. I don't often write reviews, but wanted to make sure I did for Dave because he did a great job. Would definitely recommend! <br />

At the beginning, we find MKC from yelp. At that time, we are desperate. We have to find inspector within days. <br /> The response is prompt. We contact them on Sunday. Email is replied. On Monday, we are able to schedule an inspection. The inspector is Dave. <br /> However, it is a bad start. Due to some mis-communication, my agents and I arrive one hour earlier. Fortunately, the profession and kindness of Dave brings back our confidence and expectation to MKC. As a prerequisite of a home inspector, he explains to me the function of my future home and the items to be improved. Although he is my first home inspector, in my opinion, he is knowledgable. After inspection, he make a phone call to MASS SAVE to check if my house is eligible for subsidy if I insulate my attic. This is the main reason I write this positive review. The report delivered on time. Most items are what he shows me on the spot. His inspection is thorough. I also follow their reference to lead paint/mold inspector. The team did a good job. <br /> If he had arrived on time, he would haven't done everything in a rush. I will be more satisfied with his service.   <br /> <br />

Morgan was prompt and very professional.  He inspected the areas I was concerned with after a tough winter of snow and ice dams.  Within 24 hours I had a complete assessment with pictures and detailed explanations of work to be done.  Excellent service - - - I would definitely recommend MKC Associates! <br /> <br /> <br />

Morgan Cohen inspected my home, built in 1909. He was recommended by my <br /> realtor as being very thorough, and he was.He was  extremely through and <br /> knowledgeable, and took the time to explain each step along the way.The <br /> inspection was very informative and the report was available the next <br /> day. Morgan patiently explained many small details and their <br /> significance, helped me set priorities for home maintenance and had many <br /> suggestions for ways to make my already solid house even better.He <br /> wrote the report in clear language including which type of person to <br /> call for what repair(electrician, plumber, handyman etc)  He encouraged <br /> me to call with any questions about the house, and also is a likely <br /> source of recommendations for repair folks..He also was funny and easy <br /> to work with! My contractor was present during part of the inspection <br /> and said it  was one of  the most complete he'd seen. <br /> The only down side is that the person who answers the phone is somewhat off-putting <br /> and  sounds as if   she is annoyed at having to talk to you. <br /> I am happy I worked with Morgan, and would strongly recommend him. <br />

Simply put, Inspector Tom B was awesome. <br /> I contacted MKC for a pre-purchase home inspection. I'm a first-time home buyer so of course everything is new to me :) <br /> Right away, Tom set my expectations for everything he was going to do and talk about, and throughout the whole process continued to explain everything to me. This was perfect, as I didn't have any clue what to be looking for, and I'm the type of person that really wants to understand EVERYTHING. He took the time to explain why he was noting things on the report, what the particular concerns are, and how one might think about addressing them. In situations where he didn't have a recommendation, he was quick to mention how I could get more information. <br /> Throughout the whole process he was professional, respectful, and just a nice guy. My Realtor mentioned that many inspectors can be alarming - pointing out every little detail in an overly-negative way and doing their part to scare homebuyers! Tom was not that. The house is very old, and therefore we expected to find a lot of issues (and did), but he did a great job of just pointing everything out and giving me a calm explanation for me to make my own decisions on. <br /> I could imagine that the information technique might not work for all homeowners - maybe someone just wants to know the important stuff - but it was a perfect fit for me. I did mention that up-front to him, so maybe he tailored his work towards that. If that's the case, then "Bravo"! <br /> Overall I'm very pleased with the inspection process, the generated report, and Tom as a professional. Definitely recommend! <br />

MKC did two inspections for me, both satisfactory. The first time Morgan did the inspection. He is very professional, nice, on time and pointed out a lot of detailed things for me. He climbed into narrow spaces and looked at details. I did not get that house because Morgan found vermiculite in the wall. I very much appreciate his inspection. The second time Tom did the inspection for me for another house, he is also very good and explained things patiently to me. I will recommend them. <br />

The overall experience was excellent. Tom was knowledge, through, and a pleasure to work with. He did a very detailed inspection of the condo, outside as well as inside, and helpfully shared information with us as he went along. He welcomed questions and patiently answered them. We learned a lot! The report was provided prompted via email (in pdf format) and was 47 pages with detailed notes and pictures. The sellers were surprised because the inspection showed structural issues that previous inspections had overlooked. The only downside to the experience was that the woman who handles scheduling was surly and rude; luckily I had read some other reviews here on Angie's List that mentioned this issue, so I knew not to be deterred by the scheduler. I'm glad I wasn't because the rest of the experience was fantastic. <br />

Morgan is down to earth, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly and took the time to walk through the house inch by inch, making sure that I was comfortable with everything that we talked about.   <br /> I was really worried about my home inspection, knowing going in to it that I knew next to nothing about home fixtures, furnishings, or appliances. I was going to just have to take the inspectors word for everything.  Morgan and his team eased that anxiety within the first few minutes of meeting them.  <br /> I couldn't recommend him anymore highly. If there were 10 stars to give that still woudln't be enough. <br />
