"Wow, - I can't believe this at all. I am very disappointed in this very inaccurate account of events and the subsequent "F" rating. So, in sincere defense, I will give an accurate account with straight facts regarding this latest project for you: (1) There were really no communication issues at all. The contract was signed on April 20, 2010. The job was complete (a typical, one day roof tear-off & replace) on May 4, 2010. The contract reads that work will begin within two weeks of having received the deposit and will be complete within one week or less from start. THERE WAS NO DOWN TIME, THERE WAS NO LACK OF COMMUNICATION THERE, AND THE JOB WAS COMPLETE! (2) I received a call from member nearly a month later, stating that the gutter on the front of the house was leaking. As a quality contractor who appreciates his customers (especially one who has given repeat business & "A" reports previously here on Angieslist) I did not question the source, or cause of the leaky gutter. I simply offered to replace the entire gutter along the facade of the property, in which I'm quite sure are the original gutters. I immediately placed the work order for replacement on June 3rd, 2010. I know this because I fax my work orders and I have both the W.O. & the fax report which are dated 6/03/10. Upon arrival to install however, we realized that we had made a mistake in that the gutters were a special order, color. The material was ordered ASAP & a re-schedule was necessary. THEN CAME THE RAIN.... Do you actually know how many days it rained in June this year? Do you realize that a 100 year record was surpassed for inches of rainfall in that month? Do you realize how that affects the installation schedule of exterior construction? Do you care? I communicated on exactly 3 occasions regarding all of this with you! How ironic that the morning your (94 Lin. Ft.) of GUTTER & DOWNSPOUT was being removed & replaced at no charge to you, I get this email from AL leading me to your very unfair report! The fact is, I don't even know if the roofing project had anything to do with your old gutter leaking, I just gave my best to take care of you! Lastly, what is this utter non-sense about waiting a month for your manufacture's warranty on the shingles? Did I promise it sooner? Were you put out of something while it was being prepared & mailed? You have a three year (minimum) warranty on the labor through my company... AND 35 YEARS from the manufacturer, I think 30 days is appropriate here if that's how long it takes! In closing, I will take the liberty of telling you what a great deal I also gave you! Your roof replacement was worth much more than what I charged you! I realize that would mean nothing if I did not deliver great service & quality, but we both know I did. I also know I did right by you and my conscience is clear. I further believe that all objectiveness, rationale, and simple patience was omitted on your part in rendering a report such as this!"
