We have known Danny for many years and he has done great work but recently he has changed. He took a $750 deposit from my elderly, post stroke, fixed income mother in law and never came back to do the job. He won’t answer calls/texts or return the money.

Randy performed this work for me 2 years ago but made enough of an impression that I decided to go ahead and write this review while I was here. Randy's quote blew away the big box HVAC companies that had paraded through my home with quotes to do all of this different stuff with my ductwork and offer discounts for maintenance contracts, yadda, yadda, yadda. Randy gave me a quote simply for what I asked for and performed the work in a timely manner. No complaints here, only a recommendation.

Our 4 year old Trane system was not cooling & our normal HVAC person said we should call a Trane specialist because we have 2 stage cooling. So we called Tarlton because we were told Daniel Tarlton only put in Trane systems and knew what he was doing. We called Daniel last week and he said he would be able to come over at 7 am today (Mon 7/18). He apologized that it was so early but told us he was really busy. We explained that wasn't early and we were just happy to get someone out to fix our system. Daniel called this morning to say he would be over around 8. He arrived then and spent quite a bit of time looking at our system. He told us we probably needed a Trane thermostat to ensure our 2 stage cooling system was being directed properly & that he could come back out tomorrow afternoon to install the thermostat. If that didn't fix it, we would have to investigate further. It is now 1:21 pm and our home is 80 degrees. We have tried turning the unit off & back on, but nothing works. The system is not even running now. We just called Daniel to ask if he could see what happened since it was working before he arrived but was not working now. We asked if maybe he didn't connect a wire back when he was checking out the existing thermostat or if he might have somehow turned off the unit/power to the unit. He told us he would not be able to come back out until tomorrow afternoon. We asked if there was something we might be able to check or to do maybe to reset the thermostat or the unit. He told us no. We offered that it's 80 degrees in the house & climbing and that we would have to go to a hotel if he couldn't come back out today. This is exactly what Daniel said in response: "I tell you what. Why don't you call Morris Jenkins cause I ain't coming back out there for nothing. You guys will have to get someone to fix your problems. I'm not coming out there today, tomorrow or anytime at all." and then hung up. We are on the phone with Trane corporate to see if we can get anyone out to take a look at our system. We wanted to be sure we entered this review so that Daniel wasn't able to do this to any other folks.

Everything went well.  Showed as scheduled and fixed the problem. <br />

Installed units and service call performed well. I used bill pay to pay the service call. Bank made an error and payment was delayed. This contractor hounded me for the funds as I researched the bank for why payment was not issued. Prior to this I had paid $7800 for installation of two units which I couldn't understand the added pressure of collecting a nominal service charge. He was really unprofessional in his dealing. I will not use him ever again nor recommend him. <br />

The service work on my aging system was performed in a very professional and honest manner to my total satisfaction. I was impressed by Mr. Tarlton's honest and forthright approach to dealing with me as a customer. <br />

Danny is wonderful and I have recommended him to neighbors and friends.  He has the highest integrity and work ethic, and is extremely knowledgeable. <br />

<p>The technician that showed up was very helpful and professional. It was afterhours and he lived close bye came right away.    The ONLY problem I had was the PRICE.  To be fair he only had the second level up from the basic thermostat on his truck at the time.</p> <br />

This job took no time for Danny and his crew to handle.   They were very professional in their communication and planning on when they needed to come in and do work in this remodeled area.  The first time they came they installed all the duct work and then came back in the end to hook to the system and ensure proper cooling and heating into the new renovated office space.   Job well done, and since this time I have Danny and his team on "speed dial"  for all my HVAC needs moving forward.   Very competitive price points, especially for maintenance plans which should be done twice per year. <br />

Absolutely fabulous.  I called several HVAC companies - both large and small - for bids on this job, and got four estimates.  They were all quoting basically the same Trane equipment.  Three bids came in between $8000 and $11,000.  Tarlton's bid was $5000 and the system he was offering was actually the BETTER than the others (higher end components and free digital thermostat that others wanted an up-charge for). <br /> He bid the job quickly and kept his appointments.  Installed in one day, as promised, cleaned up well, and we couldn't be happier.  He also sent in the energy rebate forms to Duke Energy and we received a $200 check in the mail a few weeks later, and we didn't have to lift a finger. <br />

Danny came on time, reviewed my problems very quickly but thoroughly and provided an advise with options. Courteous, professional, easy to communicate with and competitively priced. Will use him again!  <br />

Danny is a super nice guy....was very good with communication and did the job very quickly.  His price was very competative with 18 seer equipment.  He worked very hard to get the job done within the estimated time.  I would highly recommend using him and I will use him again in the future. <br />
