HVAC sub-contracted Rescue Rooter, a very unprofessional receptionist. They turned around and sub-sub-contracted A&M Heating and Air. After being given an appointment but no referral phone number, I called Rescue Rooter to try to get in touch with the repairman to verify the appointment. The receptionist rudely informed me they had no information on me and had no idea who A&M was! I informed her that Rescue Rooter had installed a new thermostat and serviced my air-conditioner last year. She argued that there was no way and after much discussion, checked their records. Of course, she found my name and realized they had done the work! However, she still rudely told me they had no idea who A&M was, so I could not verify my appointment. Finally, on the day of the appointment, the repairman called me at work and asked if he could come earlier. He was schedule for after 4:00, but wanted to be there around 10:00. I had my daughter change her plans and wait at home, but he never showed. Finally, after a wasted day by my daughter, the repairman showed up after 4:00 p.m. without an excuse as to why he did not come earlier or even call to let us know he was running behind. Once here, he was very professional and the repair went smoothly. I have his business card and will consider calling them directly for future service.

The representative was very attentive. They came in and did their job. That is all that I expected. They were late from their pre-determined schedule, but they responded promptly to my call, and arrived shortly thereafter and completed the work in a very professional manner.

The unit was able to be repaired on the first visit! He even showed us how to properly use the unit to keep the life longer. It was the best and most honest service we have seen in a very long time.

The installation was flawless. Josh was the gentleman who headed the crew. We liked him very much. He was eay-going, yet professional. However, we had a little problem when Winter started. The furnace didn't put out any heat. We called them and explained our problem. They said Josh is the only one who could fix it and he's on vacation and will not be back for two weeks. That's it. They offered no solution to help solve my problem of having a house with no heat. Despite being in Southern California, we're right up against the foothills where it snows, so it gets in the upper 30's at night. I explained to them that I have a child in the house and a disabled wife. They basically said, "Sorry". I was appalled. After I requested that they get another company in here to look at the unit, the put me on hold for 20 minutes! I hung up and had to call back. I was on hold an additional 10 minutes (all while I was at work)and they finally put me through to a supervisor. He agreed to get somebody out to my home. It turned out to be that the gas valve was not turned on! It was a very stressful experience! Plus, I paid them to get a permit for the installation job through my city and that never happened. This was in the summertime and now it's winter and I still haven't heard anything. Josh the installer said the office would take care of that. When we called the office, they said it's not their job. I don't know what to do. I cannot be on hold for another 30 minutes trying to deal with them, and my wife has Multiple Sclerosis, so the stress caused by them will cause her condtion to worsen. Please help. Thank you, Phillip Friedland
