The three men showed up a little late. They gave me an estimate of $400 which was twice as much as the other contractor. They said that the lowest they could go would be $300 so I said I would get back to them. A few minutes later they knocked on the door and said that their manager said it would be okay to accept $200 for the work. Since they were there and ready to do the work, I said yes. The work turned out to be very simple and was completed in less then 10 minutes. I was disturbed that they would have charged me $400 for 10 minutes of labor. The work was satisfactory as far as i could tell.

Montgomery County plowed my street to the curb and dumped all the snow that in front of my house onto the public sidewalk that I had already cleared. This took place on Sunday night aroung 10:00 PM. I was unaware of where they were piling the snow until I walked down my sidewalk to go to work the next morning and discovered a wall of snow that prevented me to go any further. I had no choice but to go back into my house and exit the back door in order to get to my car. I filled out a form online for "Snow Removal" and immediately James from Nova contacted me. He met me at my house that very night and arranged to remove the snow.

The workers were very polite and hardworking, and responded to my request. The only criticism is that their original estimate to remove snow from my roof was way over-the-top expensive ($1200 for a small rambler style house). We finally settled on $750 (about 63% of thier quoted amount), which was still much more expensive that other quotes I had gotten. However, they were available to do the work right away and seemed professional, so they got the job.

Project: Remove Snow from Walks, Drives and Roofs
The workers from Nova Construction & Consulting, Inc. did a thorough job of cleaning the snow off my roof to stop leaking through the ceiling in my kitchen and under the carpet in the master bedroom.

I did not use Nova as I never received a return phone call. I called numerous times and finally was able to reach someone. While I can understand that due to the record snowfall they probably received numerous calls, I was very disappointed when Nova, knowing they are the only one being recommended by Service Magic for snow removal from roof, decided to raise the price to a ridiculous $1200! At least thats what I was quoted for my 2 story townhome. It is so unfortunate that at a time where they probably recieved a great deal of business, they chose to quote people such high amounts when this really should have been a $500-$600 job.

Snow removal equipment was broken. Contracter assisted with manual removal and submitted a revised quote to reflect the reduced level of effort. Was reasonable about the adjusted fee. Very polite and accomodating

Nova Construction first and foremost came out the same day!! Our door jamb had been leaking for 2 days and we desparately needed help IMMEDIATELY. Nova was very professional when they called and made me feel they genuinely cared about me and my troubles. The price quoted is exactly what I was charged and I appreciated the follow up calls, letting me the status of their arrival. The crew that came to my house explained everything to me, what they were going to do and why I was having this problem. They worked hard and cleaned up after as well. I will definately use Nova Construction again and will recommend them to my family and friends.
