"Les is a real artist. I bought a Craftsman home In the Blue Ridge mountains a year ago. My personal style is mid-century modern. The fireplaces, etc., were very traditional and I needed a large wall unit/desk for the downstairs family room as well. Most of the homes in this area have either traditional or rustic interiors and I was a little worried about finding someone who could translate my aesthetic. I was so lucky to find Les on Angie’s List. Les has an amazing eye for design of all styles. He created two stunning custom mantels and the wall unit of my mid-century modern dreams. He’s in high demand for a good reason. His craftsmanship is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The European training is evident in the impeccable construction and detailing. Definitely worth the waiting list!"

"I highly recommend Summerlin Exterior Solutions. Jesse and the crew showed up on time every morning and also stayed late some evenings to complete the new shadow box style fence in my backyard. They pay very close attention to detail and their work is extremely precise. They had great ideas to design and build custom gates with cedar post caps that made the new fence immaculate. I was using a baby gate on the deck to keep my puppy close by and they came back and built a gorgeous wooden sliding gate that blends in with my deck perfectly. I could not be happier with the entire project!"

"Eldridge and his crew did a great job for us, completely repainting our house and a very large deck. Eldridge is not only an artist, he is a skilled carpenter and was able to diagnose and fix a leak on a chimney, as well as replace all wood and trim so that it looked as good as new. He was very patient in allowing us to take our time to select just the right colors, and he even custom mixed a wonderful slate gray ("Eldridge Gray") that now covers the deck. There were some rain delays, but Eldridge was there every time that it was possible to work on the house. He was always on site supervising his workers. "I'll start by saying I chose Matt because of the reviews here on Angie's List and the photographs of his work on his web site. Matt doesn't come cheap, and we did have significantly lower bids for this job. We felt that these built-ins were going into our great room and needed to look good, like a piece of furniture. We felt confident that Matt could deliver the quality craftsmanship we wanted for this project, and decided the extra cost was justified. Matt suggested a bench under each window with storage and doors below and a Cherry top (seat) on the benches. We decided on a scribed fit against the fireplace, which meant Matt would have to cut the bookshelves to mate with the rock fireplace. Matt shared his plan to build the bookshelves in his shop, described the materials being used and the process he would use to paint the exposed surfaces, gave us a rough date for completion and assured us we would be happy with the result. On installation day, he showed up with his partner Josh and each took a side of the fireplace to work on. They spent the entire day installing our built-ins, and even had to finish up a few details on the following day. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the result. The built-ins look great, and have that quality furniture look we hoped for. The sprayed on lacquer finish is awesome and durable. What an improvement in the room!"
